Yes, can someone tell me any "proper" ways to collect email addresses of potential customers online without making it look like I stole it and then my emails ending up as spam?

    Thanks to your reply!

Usually the best way (in mu opinion) would be for you just to send your first email as soon as possible after they submit their email, then keep a regular (but not too regular) amount of emails going out so they still know and remember it is something they signed up for, not just spam. :)

using an Auto responder with double opin is the ONLY safe way of collecting potential customers email addresses.

Doing this gives you proof that they signed up to get emails from you and are the best defence against spam complaints.

Im me if you need personal recommendations / assistance.

You can offer a free report or ebook when they opt-in to your mailing list.

I offer them free ebook on my finance blog and I see tons of people ( 30% ) of them trying to be on my list.

I also offer a free course on my other MMO blog and the results are close to 20%

The only way to do so is using third party service such as aweber.
Client must click the confirmation link to verify that they agree to join your mailing list.

Ad lcwadminbj indicated, an auto-responder program is the best and safest way to engage in email contact with your site's visitors. Essentially, you are offering them a little something in return for their permission to contact them. It is a very cost-effective system; the one I use will even let you try it out for free. Send me a PM if you would like the information on how to try it out.

    Best success,
    Neil

Offering a free report, e newsletter, top ten reasons list, etc... is the best way. You can have outsource someone on DP to make you a report by combining 2 or 3 other related reports to make it unique. Using aweber makes it simple and easy.

    Hi bizctr,

You can just ask them to sign up to receive news, updates, and promotional material. That way they are fully aware of what they are signing up for, if they do sign up.

    Hope that helps :)

Offer a free ebook and have them sign up through a double opt in newsletter.
