Ok, I've made my own arcade which stands out pretty well from other sites in terms of the quality of the content, so now my next goal is to monetize the amount of users i will be getting in a big ad campaign i am running for it soon. What can i do to make money without degrading the quality of the site? name types of ads and names of sites that do them, preferably, please. Thanks.
money on off site is better spent on backlinks then advertising. advertising is most likely going to cost at least 1¢ a click. making a cent or more average on a visitor is hard for an arcade, but it can be done if you use a bunch of networks. to get into any good network your going to need some age on the site and some look at your alexa ranking (below 200k is good). i use: adsense value click media tribal fusion* cpmstar* *high traffic required
hi, maybe you can push some flash ads on your site....But,the problem is that you have to find the advertiser.
Advertising the site is one of the areas i'm not worried about, i have a lot of advertising contacts and similar So your saying have no/minimal ads till the site is established?
I believe so, the CPC I received from the adsense is very very low.. I wonder why we keep the site ads free until we receive lots visitors ?
it's because an ad free site can grow better than a site with no ads, therefore you should hold off on ads to max out on the amount you spend on advertising/ the time you spend advertising. Well thats what i've always assumed, and it is generally true.
Are you also advertising? Since otherwise there will be no real effect. If you do not mind, may i have the link to your site?
I'm not sure why people do this either. I always monetize my sites from the beginning. Unless you're planning on a bait & switch where you lure return visitors only to smack them down with pop ups and such at a later date LOL! But seriously, a couple banners and some text ads aren't going to scare people away when you're ramping up traffic. Not to mention, you need the income the most when you're spending money on ad campaigns!
