HELP - From Making 1040$ my first month to 80$ so far this month. What is going on?

    Hey everyone,

I have had a clickbank account for over 2 years now and had never done anything with it until one day I had an idea to make a post recommending a clickbank product on a blog of mine that had not touched in almost a year.

Put up a few free ads lone behold I made a sale the first night- put up more ads and managed to make over a grand on the first month.

I thought this is absolutely crazy, I couldn't believe this worked. I THOUGHT, I'll start writing articles, post even more ads, and I’ll be making tons of cash in no time.

WRONG! this is now the third month, and so far this month, I've made 80$ after refunds. I'm getting close to the same amount of traffic (just over 150 average a day) but I can't seem to sell anything. 1 every few days if that.

What I don't understand is I have my site in allot more places than I did in the first month, I have writen articles, and yet my sales are horribly low as compared to my first few weeks.

    - Anyone have any tips as to what I could do?

I don’t have money to invest in PPC - free advertising just doesn’t seem to be working anymore.

I've added a screenshot of day12 since I started and a screenshot taken today. There is a major difference.

It is a terrible disappointment to have made so much so quickly and now it just seems like I sit at the computer doing stuff for hours with no payout. I've become addicted to login in to clickbank to see if I've made any money, 95% of the time I haven't and it's starting to get to me.

I thought as you learn more, advertise at more places you'd make more not less! ??

Again, any ideas as to what is happening , what I could do help this, and if this has happened to others also?

Its all about the product. What are you selling? (PM Me)
I have the best software for you to figure out which products are doing good
and which products are already over the hill, meaning starting to loose interest.

you should analyze the traffic source to your article in the first month and compare it to your traffic sources in the current month, to me it sounds like traffic quality issue.. maybe your article got some targeted traffic from google for a short period of time until the serps dropped or something similar.

Actually, I doubt google brought any of my traffic, my blog was virtually empty besides that post, most if not all the traffic came from free ads.

Oh and more information - I've created reviews on blogspot as well as submited probably around 10 articles - most of which have not been seen by mroe than 40 people in 3 months.

It seems doing what most other people are doing and claiming to making tons of money just isn't working for me : (

Is there any real way of getting more traffic without besides these " get millions of visitors to your website type products? "

Or if there really is a product that teaches u how to get crazy traffic for 47$, i would most likely invest.... just very skeptical.

Many people are experiencing a slow down in sales right now, probably a result of holiday spending habits (you can find several posts here on this forum about this). However... it sounds like you might need to work on targeting keywords that bring in more targeted visitors to your sites. Work on building your posts in the SERPs for certain keyword phrases related to the products you are promoting.

Is it allowed to post click bank URL's in this thread? I got several PM's of people who would like to know which software I used to improve my CB earnings. I wouldn't want to be banned because of an illegal post.

It happens for everybody. Just keep working.

You should remember the Golden Rule "Don't stop working coz you are getting lower conversions"

This is why it's important to invest your time and maybe money into tracking. How can you repeat your successful traffic, if you're not even sure where it came from? You have to know where every click and sale is coming from, otherwise you're just wasting your time.

I'm not trying to be harsh with this, but people come in here all of the time and expose their ignorance with the "what the hell is going on" question. Get some tracking and start answering that question for yourself. How in the hell is someone on a forum supposed to know what's going on w/ your own stuff? Take charge of your own destiny! If you're going to leave your destiny up to fate... then go get a job.

People are spending money on holiday right now you might get more sales after it. Sometimes a program does very well then people stop buying it. Try making another post about different product and doing same thing to market it.

Its the holidays man. My sales have dropped off like mad in the past few weeks. That goes for vendor and affiliate accounts. People are spending their money on gifts, not on ebooks and software.

Dont worry kevin. Like many have mentioned already, its christmas and during these times sales are generally very low. Its a normal trend that is experienced every year - sales start picking up something around the 1st-2nd week of january :)

a good way to check is the graph on www.cb-analytics.com - you will notice that the gravity line is going downwards like mad, which means far less sales are being made during these periods.

Yeah I can definitely see the holidays leading to a slow period - thanks for the info - does anyone have any ideas to get free traffic besides doing articles and free ad sites??

How many articles about the same product should be written? to me I don’t see how many articles could be different if it is basically all about the same points.

What other methods can be used?? From everything I’ve read and believe me I have tried reading as much as I can about this - it seems articles, ppc, free ads are the main ways to get traffic......

I am at a standpoint that's why I am here asking the more experienced for advice help tips to start making some money again.

I believe the best way to get traffic is through organic search results with Google and Bing. However, it can take months to rank highly for certain keywords (sometime years), but this is a great time to start your backlinking efforts (when it's slow). Read up on backlinks and keywords, to learn how to do this effectively. Best of luck.

You need to invest in an opt-in list. People who leave your site/affiliate site will never come back or remember you so you need to capture them in your list.

You can easily start a list for under $20 a month. You want a list so people will buy from you either later in life, or buy from you again and again.
