Can not increase ranking

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by appleranger, Dec 18, 2009.

For the last month, I have been stuck in the late hundreds and early two hundreds of a low competition keyword.

I have added content to my site relevant to the keyword, and have added the keyword to the title tag of my site.

I have over one thousand backlinks to my site, and despite all of my work, no change in ranking as occurred.

My domain is only a month old and I thought that is the reason why.

What do you guys think?

answer is very simple you are very new and google gives priority to old sites to avoid spam sites.

just let your site get a little old and keep on writing good content and get backlinks.

    which is your site naywayz

You already answer your question. A month old site has a lot of work to do before it can outranked old sites.

I think you are right what you have stated here. It could be one of the reason for working hard on your old site.

You already got the answer in your post.

Getting 1k backlinks in one month is totally a bad idea.
It shows you got some attention in spam alert there.

Maybe you should check for any SEOPenalty for your website.

I suggest you to constantly build more unique contents and unique IP and domain backlinks at moderate level.

You should be able to see your site ranking improved sooner.

    Hi,

I am also facing the same problem. My site is at the last position of first page of Google. I have tried almost all the channels of SEO but all are insufficient to bring on top 3.

    What to do???????

It is easy to be sandboxed if you overoptimize your site for ranking in search engine. To go out of the sandbox just keep working on your site and give it time. Just show Google you are not a spammer.

In this case your site don't have to be sandboxed. Analize your competition, you will overrank them if you have better content, better SEO onsite, better backlinks with more pagerank and pagetrust.

    Agreed with ContentSpooling,

appleranger - you gave answer by urself..

You site is just one month old... & there are site which are several years old & still do not show up on SERP's..
So have patience & keep working, keep analyzing your results.
