I have a blog where I show a 5 line excerpt of each entry on the front page. There is a link beneath each excerpt to the remainder of the post. Is there a mod or some other way that will force a reader to register in order to get to the rest of the post?
There is a free version of a plugin here memberwing.com/latest Create a new membership that does charge $0, then when you create a post you add {+++} premium content here {+++} and it will show a box with a link where they must signup if they want to read more.
Actually, on second thoughts I would reconsider using the free version of the Memberwing membership plugin. It stealthily inserts hidden links. Avoid this plugin unless you fully understand the consequences of these unannounced, hidden links! This is what I found in the source code: <div style="position:absolute;width:114px;height :10px;overflow:hidden;"> <h1 style="font-size:11px;"> <div> </div> <p>[Supported by: <a style="color:inherit;text-decoration:none;" href="http://www.vgacapture.com/info/vga-capture-cards/">VGA Capture Card</a>, <a style="color:inherit;text-decoration:none;" href="http://www.vgacapture.com/">Epiphan VGA2USB </a> Solutions, <a style="color:inherit;text-decoration:none;" href="http://www.vgacapture.com/">vga capture</a> devices and <a style="color:inherit;text-decoration:none;" href="http://www.vgacapture.com/">vga capture cards</a>, <a href="http://www.mensk.com/">SEO Expert</a>, <a href="http://www.poodleit.com/">dog coats</a>, <a href="http://www.poodleit.com/products/dog-coats/">waterproof and rain dog coats</a>, <a href="http://www.poodleit.com/products/for-dogs/">winter dog coats</a>, <a href="http://www.idreamcatcher.com/">Law of Attraction</a>, <a href="http://www.idreamcatcher.com/products/">law of attraction - the secret</a>, <a href="http://www.idreamcatcher.com/products/abraham-hicks/">Law of Attraction - Abraham-Hicks DVD, books, CD</a>, <a href="http://www.idreamcatcher.com/products/abraham-hicks/">Abraham-Hicks - Law of Attraction Products</a>, <a href="http://www.mensk.com/">SEO Expert</a>]</h1> </div> Code (markup): I will look for anotehr solution.
Free version of MemberWing no longer carrying bunch of hidden links. It used to be the case with free version to support development efforts. Current version no longer has it. It will still have "Powered by" and "Supported by" links below premium page cutoff but they are not hidden. Gleb
