Well I got two of my sites to go from PR 0 to PR 5 and PR6 in less than 1 year. The PR5 got there in less than 3 months. Here's what I did: 1. Got a domain that was older than 5 years old. (Older domains increase page rank faster) 2. Optimized the start page and meta tags(description, keywords, title). 3. Got a domain that was related to the topic my blog was to talk about. 4. Paid for two links to other websites that had a PR5+ on it. 5. Posted links back to my site from other blogs (maybe in total there was 100 linkback posts). 6. Exchanged links with about 20 other sites. That was the main things I did. Good luck to you guys.
I'd just be careful to not try to build links too fast and work with a domain too too quickly. However, it seems that it worked for you to boost pagerank. On the other hand, how are the search engine ranks?
Good stuff but you'll also want to put your website in Googles WMT and submit a sitemap for deep indexing.
Thanks for sharing the tips of how you achieved PR5 and PR6 within a year. By buying old and used domain, you are bypassing the Google sandbox so 'fast growth rate' suspicion doesnt apply!
The only thing paid for was the two links on two PR5 sites. I paid $100 for each link. The other link exchanges were to those willing to exchange links when they visited the site I had a link exchange module I installed from Joomla. And as I mentioned earlier, Do some posting on sites and blogs related to your topic. All these things were not done over night, it was just part of a process that took about 5 or so months. Site maps do help but for one of the site, I didn't really have a sitemap setup. That was the pr5 site. I've been able to maintain the PR5 and PR6 site at their current PRs for over 6 months now so it looks like they are sticking around. Also make sure you're using unique content. Search engine rankings were also good on the keywords i was aiming for. Usaually top 5. Good luck guys
Don't worry too much about link velocity. If you have a decent rank site, having lots of links fast will not hurt your site.
That's pretty much the exact blueprint that every major SEO shop in the world uses. I'd point out a couple of things. First, don't overlook the importance of your key phrase analysis. You can have great pagerank, but be optimized on poor keyprhases and still not get any traffic. 99% of all online businesses that fail do so because they choose the wrong key prhases. Second, expand your on page optimization to include page load speed analysis, image alt tags, h1 tags, and key phrase density analysis. Third, for your paid links, make sure they are on high quality, very relevant sites. Check their history in archive.org, check how many backlinks they currently have in google, check their age, check their traffic, and do a duplicate content check using copyscape. It's easy to get ripped off if you don't check all of these things.
You can do the same thing with new domain name but it takes longer. One tip is to regsiter any domain name for mutiple years even if you buy old domain name make sure to register it for more than one year.
It may work out for old domains, but it will not work out for new domains because your site will be in sandbox for some particular period....! So if you have new domain don't expect your PR to increase suddenly, after creating back links wait for some time...!
