Is it ok to copy the articles publish in Ezine to your site?

I'm confused, I posted articles in ezine but in the next day after my article was approved . I saw my content copied including my name and URL of my website.

I'm just wondering if is it ok to copy articles in ezine for as long as the name of the author is there?

Yep that's what its for really! Publishers use it to find interesting content for their own websites for free but the deal is that they have to keep the author bio and link at the end of the article. That means that authors like yourself can get a single article reprinted on several websites giving you more exposure. Well done!

You only need worry if your articles are republished without including your name and URL at the end.

Well - the Ezine copyright rules state that you can publish someone's article if you include a link to the source and include the author's details. However, I have had my article stolen where the person did not include a link and nothing could really be done...

So, that means it is my advantage if others copy my article to their site with my link and signature. Thanks for letting me know :)

I put a few articles on ezine and the when I look at backlinks I find them in all sorts of strange places.

    Ezine TOS http://ezinearticles.com/terms-of-service.html
"If you wish to publish/reprint any article from our site in your ezine, website, blog, forum, RSS feed or print publication, you must:

Respect the copyrights of the authors by publishing the entire article as it is with no changes.

Agree to include the FULL Resource box or SIG line at the end of the article.

I found out that many people take the articles from article directories without the author's resource box...how can we catch these thieves?

You should be happy that people want to reprint your content and drives traffic to your website. Some articles hardly get reprinted, while some are reprinted more than a hundred times.

to the previous poster, content duplication only applies to duplicated content on the same website. If content is syndicated on different sites, that is NOT duplication.
