New Writing Contest Site - Developed in Drupal

Just to give you an idea of what is possible in Drupal 6.

I just launched http://www.crowdedtext.com, a writing contest site.

About 80-90% of the functionality was provided by contributed modules. A lot of my work was providing the glue to bring them all together.

However, as always, the majority of the work comes with developing a custom template that looks great. It's fortunate that Drupal is so easy to theme.

 

Site looks good, Which contrib modules did you use

I used the typical contributed modules of CCK, Views, Fivestar, Content Profile, and then a heavily customized theme. For payment processing, I used Ubercart.

I also have three customized modules to fill in the blanks of the functionality.

 

Nice site. I really like the theme What do the custom modules do? Also, are you seeing a market for this kind of concept?

 

Thats nice looking Drupal site. Btw, what did you use for multistep forms ? Was it CTools module ?

 

This is very slick WEB2.0 design and implementation.
How long did you work on the theming of your site incl all basic features?

Are you also familiar with SEO issues using Drupal?
