You can get free hosting without ads, but free .com domain... isn't good is better if you purchase your domains to get the rights. And isn't expensive!

It seems reliable, but I'm not trusting it at all. How would they pay that much (10$ for domain and than the hosting costs) and put zero advertisements etc. I haven't read the whole website, but I wouldn't use them. Instead I prefer spending the money myself. At least I won't have any domain transfering problems later on :)

they probably gamble on it by providing free .com to users, pray that the domain user will continue marketing or make it big to continue to second year.
When it reaches 2nd year, its payback time.. then the domain user will be stuck in between to pay or let the efforts to waste for that year of marketing..

True. That's what I thought after writing my post too. But than it's a big risk, and since all newbies blogs almost fail it's a big loss when investing in this stuff ;)

those such sites will not provide access to EPP code so u will be in risk if you develop that domain as they will charge you some 50-60$ to renewal

    True, but remember:
    1) Only newbies will use something like that (free domain & free hosting isn't something we - at least I won't - won't use).
    2) I have seen many more newbie blogs failing, than succeeding so. It'll be a big loss for the owner IMO. But that's his problem :p

Yeah, I really don't trust that kind of "offers". Getting into the "WWW" isn't as easy as gettinh free domain and hosting. You should start from zero, with maybe a free subdomain and ad hosting, begin getting ranking and revenue from your own ads, and the purchase the things by your own.

Loool. register.com charges $35 for a year... If they offer 1 year when buying two, then it is... $17,5 per year. At godaddy we get .com at $7...

This is becoming the spam thread :p
