in your honest opinion what would be the best ecommerce script on the market today that costs little or no cost at all. ive tested a few out there but i would like to see what others think about this subject. thanks
You can try Zeuscart which is open source. or you can try AJ Shopping Cart software. Both will be good to use.
I like CubeCart version 3 is free, but you can pay to remove "Powered by Cubecart" from your title tag and copyright at the bottom of the page. Theres tonnes of mods and an unoffical forum where you can ask for help. I started off with the free version and have two shows now, which I paid for.
Well I started out using osCommerce now I am using Magento. I have a wonderful time using the software, of the course it is not free but it's worth the penny.
It depends on what you want to sell and your requirements. I like the wordpress ecommerce plugin with a retro theme. I currently built this site: http://www.marketplacebusiness.co.cc/ I like the easy navigation with Wordpress and ecommerce. Also it costs nothing. (beside- i don't use the site...)
Magento Commerce is somewhat new and is already one of the most liked and known ecommerce systems used today and is also used by leading companies such as Homedics. Also look into Prestashop
Zen Cart is free and comes with a lot of features in itself. Themeing/skinning cost for zen cart is relatively very low as compared to Magento. Magento is feature rich but is a bit slow ( I guess may be my perception ). I am using zen cart for my website. give it a try too . Cheers.
yeah ive seen zencart in the past.. and digishop i was planning on setting up some things with a dropshipper to sell misc different items but that for me will take awhile

It, as so many times, depends on your individual requirements and demands. I would suggest either XTCommerce, Magento or OXID. All of them are very powerfull open source eCommerce solutions. However, you have to pay for extras like support, extensions, modules etc... I consider Magento to be the most powerful open source eCommerce Suite, but you have to invest some time and efforts and maybe some money to get it running. XTC is the easiest to implement and run...but the source code is somewhat outdated and the latest version (4) will no longer be for free as open source. Tell me what you need exactly and I will give you a more detailed advice. To your success, Joe
nice thanks much digishop i like the look and layout of this one i'm gonna givee this a go soon as i get a domain much appriciated
Also check out prestashop, I have been using them for a few months now and like the layout, the back-end works very well too.
yeah magento looks pretty decent i just don't like the templates look of it but other then that it seems like it does alot of good for other merchants
