Do you think any sites earn more than $100,000 per month with YPN?

Do you know of an sites that earn more than $25,000 per month?

Does anyne know the average earnings?

I am just curious how much realistically a site can earn.

i dont think its possible to determine an average earnings across the board (unless you work for YPN) and i doubt if anyone earned those numbers, they would say so... with the exception of someone here who claims to earn in the 20's/m (im sure there are more).

realistically, a site could earn any amount - even the big 100k, although the number of visitors it would need (to bypass the terrible ctr) would make me think that they are an extreme authority on a niche and really dont need ypn's terrible targetting or fluctuating rpc as a source of income.

i heard of a person on webmasterworld, who claims that he makes 1M every 3 months using adsense.

I've personally made more than 25K in a single month. 100K isn't that unreasonable if you have a massive site.

so is a massive site better than lots of smaller sites? it seems there are so many 'made for advertising' type sites that are basically copied articles - with no real cummunity or anything that would make visitors stay.

so in my mind it seems for the long term a large site that offers people are reason to come back often would be better?

and over 1 mil per 3 months - wow - do you know the url?

also 25k with ypn is very nice - may i ask you question - what is your sites topic?

that is across about 100 sites. One large one or many small, it doesn't matter as long as you have the traffic.

the traffic is key - no matter how large or small or how many sites. with the 100 sites - do you count on organic rankings or do you buy advertising.

also - are there any cheap paid advertising methods to deliver pagevoiews, like adbrite, etc?

90 percent of the traffic is organic. I used to pay for a lot of traffic, but I focus on free traffic from the search engines for the most part now.

overall - can u make more with ypn or adsense?

if there were 2 identical sites, both with same content and traffic - one ypn, other adsense - who would make more?

i am aware adsense targets ads better, and ypn typicall pays more per click

It really depends on the content.

One of my sites focuses on automobiles and I started running AdSense on it and was making a decent amount. Then decided to switch over to YPN to see. The same amount of clicks at both and AdSense earned about 70x more than YPN. So that site I decided to use AdSense on.

I have another site that was doing about $2/day AdSense. When I switched to YPN it started doing $30/day. On that site I have YPN on (geo-targeted).

So it really depends on the content and the ad pools.

I actually started a thread a week or so ago entitled "Are your sites made for Ads" (or something like that)

Read it through.. some of the posters offered good advice and info.

I personally run 2 sites. One gets around 500,000 page views per month (and growing rapidly) as well as around 10k unique visitors per day. The other is much smaller and less promoted.

The amount of money you can make from publisher programs like YPN and AdSense depends not just on traffic but also on the category your site will fall under.

For example, a site about technology or investing is probably gonna make a lot more per click than a site about pets or something.

The best advice I can offer is to create a site that you will enjoy running even if it never earns any real money. If you enjoy your site and it interests you, you will do a better job taking care of it and thus have an overall better website. Once you have a good, useful website, revenue will come.

If you decide to go the hundreds of sites path like 1Eight does, that's fine too. I actually plan to create a few more sites that are simple to maintain yet useful with the hopes of bringing in a bit more revenue

But that doesn't mean creating 100 useless sites just to stick a bunch of ads on them. In my opinion, there is nothing worse than all of those crappy MySpace sites and Video Game sites that completely lack any original content and are obviously just produced by someone looking to make a quick buck

Build good websites (small or large) and you'll make money one way or another

My two largest sites that bring in the majority of my traffic are completely legit and in a regualr niche. I just have the other 98 or so sites to bring in some extra money for hookers and blow.

Earnings are confidential. It's not usually considered a good practice to ask for that in the US. However, I guess there are no boundaries. You can earn as much as you want with YPN. IMO, it pays higher CTR than AdSense.

Yes tons of sites make more then 25k a month. I know a few personally, so I can imagine there are quite a few who do over 100k as well.

I'd like to know how much publishers with just one site are making on avg per day.

It's pretty obvious that there is plenty of money to be made from running multiple (or many) sites. The sheer volume of sites means that no single site needs to perform that well.

But what about publishers that only run one site? How much are you making and with what level of traffic?

Who cares? Just worry about making money with your own site...I have seen single sites make over 50k/month. And I have seen people with 40 sites make 3k/month...There is soo many variables, why are you worried about what other people earn? Just beef up your earnings.
