From last couple of days I am working daily on my website to make it better and have tried to exchange links with other niche websites. Google is keeping on decreasing my position in search engine though. As oppose to these alexa is increasing my rank in there alexa ranking. So both of them are contradicting each other. What do you guys think about these Are steps being taken improving my ranking or decreasing
I would suggest forgetting about Alexa as they play no basis in the searches but give a very vague idea of traffic. Alexa is also easily manipulated. You are in a very competitive niche and will need to keep promoting your site and gathering backlinks. Do you write articles and distribute them? Perhaps a series of video tutorials on web design posted to youtube would get you some good exposure.
yes I am writing articles and putting them on blog as well as publishing them on ezine. I am not distributing them because than it will be similar content issue Yes I am in process of creating lot of videos. Any other advice?
One thing you might want to do is wait unitl Google indexes the articles before putting them on ezine.
Wait as long as it takes for your articles to get indexed, but dont put your articles on ezine first, because it will be a waste of content and you can even get pennalized for duplicate content. I usually put different articles on ezine, that i dont use on my website.
Alexa is nothing but a traffic indicator which is misleading most of the time, while Google information is reliable and based on tracked data.
