Click to see the dead blog... Is there anything i can do to get it popular? I have created alot of backlinks today and nothing is happening.
Don't expect miracles to happen in 24hrs. If you wish to stay in online business then patience is the key. Post articles daily, do some social bookmarkings, use mouth advertising and after some time you'll see the change.
There's lots of things you can do. 1.) key phrase analysis. You can't just pick key phrases off the top of your head and go with them. You have to research and analyze them. You need to find good keyphrases that have a decent amount of traffic, yet low in competition in order to be successful. 99.9% of all blogs that fail do so becuase they didn't spend enough time selecting the right key phrases to optimize on. 2.) Do you on page optimization on your selected key phrases. That means title table, h1 tags, good unique content with your key phrases in them, good internal link structure, and put your key phrases in your domain name or URL. 3.) Start your link building campaign. spend an hour per day building links for the first 3 months. Then you can taper off to about 20 minutes per day. Be prepared to spend at least that much time per day for the entire time you own the blog. 4.) Start social bookmarking. Not jsut stumble, not just digg, not just twitter, but ALL of them. Stumble every single one of your articles on as many social bookmarking sites as you can find. Build up a following or friendship network on each social boomarking site so that people will actually see the articles you bookmark. That should get you started.
Completely agreed. With your keywords, divide them up into threre sections, I generally work with 6 keywords in total, no more no less. Go for 2 dominant keywords (the users you want to target), 2 secondary keywords (the other keywords that relate to some content on site), and go for 2 long tail keywords (the other non competative keywords that will still bring in traffic). As far as promoting your site, use everything. But when you use everything, use your keywords, not juse random ones that you made up on the spot. If you want to get traffic using your keywords, then you will need to use them. As far as the blogspot domain, yeah, blogspot aint that great, but I can tell you a whole number of people who have made a living out of blogspot. Its only bad because people choose to say its bad. Proof is in the pudding. They get indexed faster.
Actually you should worry about the domain. The key to traffic is search engine results....and blogspot blogs have a hard time ranking!
It's bad because you don't own the domain or any control over the site. If blogspot chooses to pull the plug on it, you're screwed. That's why it's bad, and there's no further reasoning needed to justify that point
Free blogging services has limitations, the best way to secure the data and blog is to own server space.
blogspot!! and your wondering why its not doing the numbers..... you need a .com mate. Have you thought about maybe youtube marketing to get some traffic?
My domain comes from Blogspot too, but it's already under my own domain name. When my blog is still a free site, I assumed it's dead but due to my content it's still alive and receiving traffic. Just keep updating it.
Update everyday and get backlinks every day. Try to get many followers in Twitter, and tweets after daily updating.
