Google clearly is not winning the war on spam.

 

I hate this Twitter shit that's taking over Google - Twitter has already become famous as the 'spam social network', and now Google is only making it worse.

 

google is always changing and spammers changing at a faster rate than google.

 

I agree and that is why I said "Google need to stick with being a search engine". Every time they do something new they get screwed.

i think Google tends to release services - e.g. Google maps
and only once spammed to death then introduces measures to combat this

i added a friends business to maps yesterday and have noted they have changed the dashboard to combat spam and also notice the results are getting cleaner too

 

I think this answers my question, I have been wondering for a long time why Google has such a huge tolenrance towards spammers.

I wonder if everyone has to spam the internet?

 

Thanks for the informative article. Google may appear to be doing something stupid but Google is smart. They will have some sort of tool that sifts through legit and spam Twitter Posts. Even if they don't do that, they will just change their Algorithm to fix it.

 

Right, because you know. Spammers have the numerical superiority.

I will never understand the point of having Tweets in Google search. Twitter is worthless for search. It's only good for breaking news or current events (even then, that has dis-proven itself..)

 

As google hate spamming, there are also some sites that violate their rules and this is the spammers way to rank their site.
