I use godaddy. Have not used other registrars.

godaddy is cheaper... search for coupon codes or 'executive' membership links... they give those away to certain people (ie dnforum members).

Name.com is cheaper than godaddy? No. You can get more discount using godaddy coupons.

But Name.com is best. I am using it from past few years. Support is great, user friendly navigation, they do not irritate you like godaddy (always showing some extra stuff while buying simple domain) and you get Private domain privacy for free. :)

I used Godaddy before but got tired of their aggressive advertising, and over-engineered security. They force me to use so stupid password I can't even remember. And the general feeling using them is always like "there is a catch".
Sure, they may be cheaper than others, but it's only to hook you up. Then they use every means to suck your money. Check out this site: nodaddy.com
Now I switched to Name.com and I'm very satisfied. They also have free whois privacy which was one of the reasons of switch.

godaddy is my vote too. I've used other registrars as well, but I moved my sites to godaddy lately.

Sure it is. I'm using them, and I'm very happy with their services. As mentioned above, Godaddy is slightly cheaper, so it really depends on your preference. I use both, and I'd recommend that you use both :)

Just to reiterate what have been shared by most members here, GoDaddy will try to commit you to more and more products and services. Some advantages of GoDaddy which cannot be denied are ridiculously and unbelievable cheap prices (especially with coupon codes), some free products like hosting, WYSIWYG site builder, etc. However I really dislike its domain manager, it is slow and need to login multiple times.

I like Name.com for its clean and quick interface, responsive support team and free domain whois privacy protection. They don't have as many coupon codes as GoDaddy but you can almost always get discounted renewal and transfer coupons, also some crazy promotions will be announced with short notice on their Twitter.

    Yes, the best imo.

    I have registered a domain at name.com
They're really good - easy domain management and also free private whois. They hide all your private information unlike some registrars that only give partly privacy (and ask money too).

If you want cheaper price then use some coupon code, i found mine from this place:
    http://www.retailmenot.com

Also, the name.com's support seems very helpful and friendly to me.

I have a bunch of names registered at Name.com and have never had a problem. The only thing is that it can be expensive for extensions like .mobi and .tel. Of course, I found out they are better than some other registrars.
Enom.com wants $35+ to renew almost any name. The only thing that's cheaper is org.uk and .uk at $15.

    My Own Personal Experience
I can vouch that Name.com is much2 better and way easier to use compared to Godaddy. Its a top class registrar where I have transferred almost all of my domains to them.
Use Name.com and you will have no regrets and if you think Godaddy is a better registrar then you haven't tried name.com yet.
