could you pro's of seo suggest me about this keyword BSNL and tell me what are my chances of getting to page 1 on google if any and if you think i do stand a chance what would you suggest me to do (without spending much money) and how much time would it take to get to page one. my site is BSNL any suggestions on getting good ranks for broadband related keywords are most welcome. Your forum on BSNL is "Bsnl dataone". Neither your urlname or header name have BSNL specifically though...you have given the link here as BSNL when it is "Broadband in India" Getting to the first page of google is a mixture of luck and hard work..though You could do the links part though..buying links with the keyword you wish on pages which get indexed pretty quickly (similar sites)..in the form of signatures for example.I already saw that you advertised for siggies in the link sales forums.You could also buy contextual links in blogs which blog about such stuff... Getting for BSNL looks a bit tough for me though... Your forum should be a little more active IMO too
You are competing with BSNL - Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (Run under Govet of India Dept of Telecom) Well, you can rank better than them by doing proper SEO and link popularity, but I dont think you can do it in a short span of time. bsnl.in (The official site) is having a good search engine popularity and beating them you need to put in lot of hard work.
Search for BSNL in Dmoz and get this : http://search.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/search?search=bsnl There are total 71 different results in Dmoz... means bsnl.co.in is in top few pages... It would be really hard to come to the top. Also atleast a keyword of BSNL is not placed in your title.
thanks for all your comments guys i have one small question : is it worth spending money on domains like this : http://www.bsnl-broadband.com and having blogs on them with a few articles and inlinks to my forum ? would this make a huge difference or am i wasting my time and money ? forgot to mention this new domain i got is on a different ip address in a different data cantre if that makes any difference
If u work a lot on it, and have the capacity to cope up with all those DMoz listed BSNL official pages, then it is worth buying the domain and making the site... And also, nothing is impossible Good idea.... ur idea of BSNL can get u a lot of traffic...
update : I have changed the frum name from BSNL dataone to BSNL broadband I am looking forward for some more feedback please so i can get to the top some how I have paid for 2 blog posts on a PR5 blog today.

No idea about your website but this thread will reach the top 10 in google You need good Link building and posting link in all the posts wont help you as it will anyway be counted as 1 IP.
smfseo, if you are in it for longer term, it would be better to focus on your current site rather than having multiple blogs/sites just for this keyword. you would be better off by buying links from different c-class domains rather than going in setting up your own different sites. unless your goal is of a shorter tenure also, if you work hard, there's a fair chance that you could go for the number 2 spot on google for this keyword
thats what i thought yea never thought about it but yes this thread is going to help aswell I am in for a long term but the problem is that there is juts one guy who has his blogs all over the place for all the keywords i am aiming at and there is no chance of buying a link from him , not that i didin try and buying links on sites which have got nothing to do with the keywords i am looking for isint gonna help is it ?

Seeing competition metrix from http://www.nichewatch.com/bsnl.html imo one PR7 link would help a lot to get into top 10.
Update : my ranking for phrase "bsnl broadband" has improved so much after i changed forum name from bsnl dataone to bsnl broadband thanks ever so much gr8liverpoolfan for pointing that out i am on page 2 for that i also bought a blog post on a pr5 blog may be that helped a bit and i am on a directory submission spree any more suggestions guys
