Google is hiding link queries via tools!

After being able to check for a backlink update about 45 minutes ago via http://oy-oy.eu I am now finding that it is reporting d/c's down and aborting others... McDar's Q-check Datacenter Tool is showing 0 backlinks, also assumed to be erroring out.

I am able to check individual d/c's directly.

What is google up to now?!?!?

Are they now killing our tools?

I prefer to check links on Yahoo.com search engine.
    It shows all links

I guess you missed the part where I pointed out:
    I linked to that thread.

RTFT before you post idiotic, useless comments. This is about webmaster tools being blocked...

Some seem to be coming back, via oy-oy.eu, just about 9 A.M. California time... but still not showing up via McDar.

Gotta wonder about the timing... :D

McDars link tool hasn't worked for months as far as I know... or at least been flakey and not worked every time I've checked. Same with the site: portion ("Include # of pages indexed by Google" checkbox).

I do see a link update going on, but right now only at one dc, 64.233.187.104.

The reason the other broke is due to the change in layout yesterday. If you want to know the # of sites returned in a query when the quey is set to 100 serps per page, then you need to use the regular /search page. When the layout switched, it broke all of the tools that parsed that data. It has nothing to do with Google screwing with webmaster tools, although if you own an seo tool site it sure seems like it. :D

Again, timing... they changed yesterday, started a backlink update overnight... they had to know it would mess with the tools, and we would be checking with them.

    Thanks for the info.
