Hi, My post is regarding the differentiation b/w keywords and tags. In my assumption keyword is a hyper linked text that gets cached or crawled by spiders ( do follow cases). Tags, on the other hand, are the utility phrases or words that are used for internally searching content on the website e.g. if I have a blog about decor, then tags will be used to identify the posts that carry exactly the same word. Now, My question is this that do the tags also get cached by search engines although they dont necessarily carry a hyper link? I am a bit reserved about calling them anchor text in any case. Another query is that if any one of you has used all in one seo pack for wordpress, then can we use the same keywords for tags too? Please if you think that these questions or assumptions are stupid then understand that I am total beginner SEO learner!
Well Mudassir sb. If I had to go and learn some very basic SEO stuff on my own then what was the need to post this question here? I guess the best thing is that we should not only count the number of "posts" we are making but it should really carry some informational stuff too. If you have some thing to say about keywords or tags just post them here, otherwise there are so many other thread in need of basic seo learning. Regards,
there is no BIG difference between Keywords and Tags . Infact Tags are converted into Keywords by many of the plugins used on top blogging platforms like Wordpress , Joomla etc.
Wow even your terms are wrong. A keyword is a word you target which people type into Google? Where as a link is...well......a LINK. Both on page and off page optimisation is important. There is far to much to explain in a forum, i would suggest reading a book on SEO first?
