I'm having a perfect-bound copy of my book made for my friend for Christmas. I really need a nice-looking book cover. The cover needs to say "An Almost Biography" preferably in a handwriting type of font. The background should be black, and the lettering should be either white or red, depending on what looks better. In the center should be either: A Red Rose in Full Bloom Dimensions: 6" x 9" Title: An Almost Biography Author: Corey Rose Freeman Additional Text: Based on true events. Color Scheme: black, white, red. Format: PDF and PSD For an idea of the color scheme, please view http://www.almostbiography.com The best cover design gets $25. Payment will be fast, I promise.
You know what? Forget the trumpet. Just use the rose. @gestalt The title is an almost biography. Please try removing the "auto" part and maybe losing some of the space between the letters. I like the concept, can you try it without the trumpet? Those two images just aren't going to mesh well... @Rahul jain That's not what I'm looking for.
I have it as a psd and pdf in A4 format. Any changes can be made. Feedback appreciated. Have a nice day.
It's An Almost Biography, and that has neither of the images requested. I'm afraid it's not what I'm looking for.
Hello, I've been browsing the page you mentioned and after a while I came up with three ideas for the cover that in my humble opinion would suit the book. I hope you like them. Feedback would be as always mostly appreciated. Any changes can be made upon request. Thus here are my entries: #1 I wanted to make something elegant and tidy which would fit a cover of a book yet add contrast which makes you remember the cover once your eye is caught by the red rose contrasting with the light background. #2 Life flows constantly and so does this cover. The mysterious black background and the petals slowly falling down from the rose... #3 Reading this gave me some thinking which evaluated into another cover. Suicide, the unfolding and inevitable 'painting' of each and every day of our lives - a rose, paint or perhaps blood? yet with a touch of melancholy on the cover which try to grasp the reader into entering the world presented by the writer. Kindest regards, Kavalorn.
OK. Here we go. I tried to integrate on the cover everything you asked in the contest's description (both pictures, handwriting type font, black, white, red colour scheme). Here's what i came up with: Please leave some comments. I have to bail out from here now, but i'll be back in a couple of hours. Thanks!
