I have found that blog commenting is one of the best ways to gain not only backlinks but a small amount of traffic and some great PR juice

 

I think we need to include all of the backlinks building techniques. Different combination will work for different people. Try your own combination. All techniques have their own advantages and disadvantages.

 

A good link building strategy for the optimization of websites, products over the search engines!

We find the best way is to enter your desired keyword into Google and analyse the top ten URLs. Find out where their links are coming from and place your link there. Simple!

sig links have always worked for me - don't get me wrong - I do other things - but sig links is the way to go and it's always worked for me.

i think the most effective of them all is blog commenting on high PR sites.. this would drive your PR on SE way up high..

 

It's best to use a mixture of different methods. If you just use one or two methods, Google will realize that the links aren't natural. Also, nobody really knows for sure which methods work the best, so that is another reason to mix them.

RSS and HugPages are good option too. Yes, Squidoo too but probably squidoo is having down stream of reputation.

Yes probably, link wheeling won't be fruitful now. It is turning almost a spam like thing. So, I am not in favor of this. Though, it can be used quite smart way but still not the way I want it.

 

Yes, that is the way but what would be the way to get links as of the competitor? Of course you would like to go for having some way to get the links. What would be the most effective way if apart from the above one.

I have been using blog commenting and it seems to be helping my site. I am looking into doing more forum posting however how do you find the forums that are do follow?

 

Forums posting will be much effective, but you need to be more dedication in your posting and signature links.

 

I build several websites on free website builder like weebly or vox, also I use free Blogging services. Squidoo and Hub pages are useful too.

Another way to get backlinks is to submit your RSS feed to several directories like feedage or feedagg, this brings you dynamic backlinks (whenever you post a new post or new content, the RSS feed will change and you get a backlink to your new post)
