    a site is sandboxed when google null's any pagerank/ranking your site may have
    its usually temporary, and is used primarily on spammy sites/spammy SEO tactics


    at least thats my understanding of it?

    It's a place where kids play.

    Online it's the imaginary and overhyped place where some people believe Google places websites that are new while it tries to decide if they are worth ranking or not.
