Instead of making a super long post on a blog for an E book what is a better option for writing one? Should I consider something else than an E book and what exactly is an E book? Do I just upload my text to a file sharing program?
Have you ever bought an ebook? Maybe buy on at or above your target price (for your own ebook) then you will have a better understanding of the whole process.
I just want to make an e book to tell my story on weight loss. I intend on giving it away are there fees associate with this. Sorry, I'm still a bit lost. Do websites offer free Ebook platforms?
There is no 'E-Book Distribution System'. People usually write E-Books in an attempt to sell their unique idea to the public. If you want to give it away for free, though I see no point in it, you might as well use the content yourself and put it on your blog or use associated content.
How do people download these E books when people sell them or is it content on a protected page? I'm so lost still what am I not understanding? Should I just make a very long blog post?
Normally people let their user download ebook at their website such as upload the ebook to filesharing site.
If you just want to give information away, make a post on this forum with it or give it to someone who can distribute it. I suggest selling it though... no point in not making cash.
Usually an ebook is written in a word processing program like Microsoft Word then converted to a PDF file. Since you're offering this ebook for free, you can upload it to your web server (i.e. if you have a self-hosted website or blog) and you can link to it so readers can download it. Otherwise, yes, you can use a file sharing website to let people download it.
It depends. There is a good software, but it works with Windows only, so if reader uses another OS, he won't be able to open your ebook.
ebook or blog post - which is better? I think that's what you're asking. My opinion - neither. Do both. 1. Blog Post Instead of doing one really long one, break your story into bits, each with a lesson in it or which can stand on its own. Then create a series of related blog posts. You could do "How I lost weight - Part 1", " ... - Part 2", etc. 2. ebook Then compile all the parts into one Word document, and maybe put in a Table of contents and an introduction. Or just leave it as is. Get a free PDF convertor software from the web - examples: cutePDF or PrimoPDF - and install it on your computer. Then it works just like a physical printer. You select File | Print and you'll see the PDF printer - select it and click print and a PDF will be created on your PC. The beauty of a free ebook is that it can go viral, meaning many people download it and share it with their friends. If you put links in it back to your web page, you'll could get a lot of visitors from it.
I like the first idea actually. I can put more ads and more pages on my website. I'll just make it an about me section.
Thanks Chui for motivation. I hope that you will give always useful information. Definitely I will share this thoughts all of my friends.
