This guy that wrote the article has met with bin Laden already, so he knows more than all of us about this matter, don't try and act smart about this article.

(I bring up this thread as an example of how insulting other members can get in just 3 posts when it took me over 500 to get any kind of attention, though negative, interesting how I'm still the minority and nobody seems to like the minority, just because of how they think. Even if they're right.)

Oh, I also find it humorous that when I post a thread about this one in Suggestions & Feedback, to make a nice point (it wasn't a mean post), it gets deleted yet every other post and thread out to get ME is still in tact. I love it how all the mods here have it out for me. Just because I'm a minority. Yeah? Well I was one at NamePros too and I'm sick of it. Everywhere. Not quite. Today is an exception. Summer is almost over and I am making the most of it IMO. I have no real relationships except a few friends and mom/dad here at home, and no I'm not on welfare. I have a job, also. I'm not a complete loser.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that the thrust of search efforts have centered on Syria; that's news to me. It is a long and commonly held view that Bin Laden is holed up in the mountainous southern region of Afghanistan, bordering Pakistan, though he is reported to have moved inside Pakistani territory proper from time to time.

Bin Laden relatives were reported to have lived in Syria; Bin Laden's son has been reported by Die Welt as "deported" to the Syria/Lebanon border by the Iranian regime (this is a contested report); and Syria is suspected of providing "shelter and succor" to al-quaeda members fleeing from Afghanistan. But as far as Osama himself, most reports center on the region noted in the above paragraph.
