Press ctrl+shift+s and you will be asked to save for web. Use .gif format to save for web. You can also save as gif similar to saving in .psd

Is it an animated .gif? Also, what version of Photoshop are you using? In CS2 and earlier versions of Photoshop, you save an animated .gif by going to File>Save Optimized As> and choosing .gif to be the file type. If it's CS3 or CS4, then do as dvncfll01 said.

If it's not animated, just go to File>Save and under File Type at the bottom, choose Graphics Interchange Format (.gif).

simple dude i'll just type it all....

Ok first get all your images the same exact size

    then go to windows>animation

You well see a panel come up on the lower part of photoshop
Next on the lower part of the panel click the little rectangle button

now this can get a little annoying but this is how you do it

hide all the layers except for 1 which you want to be your starting image

next make a new layer (on the left bottom panel near the trash can of the animation bar )

Hide your first image and UN hide your 2nd images

and continue doing this till your done

then you can set a time for the animation

on the bottom right panel as well where it says "once"

Well, I can't check to verify this right now because i'm at school, but here's what i'd try first to see if the zoom would work:

On your first frame in the animation, get the original size set. Click the "New Frame" button, and on this one, use free transform to resize the image to what you want, and make sure it's centered. Next step is to tween those two frames together. If you've still got the second frame selected, press the tween button, and select tween with previous frame. Set the frames at what you think should work (depends on how crisp you want the transition, and how large your image is.) Click play afterwards.

If this didn't work how you were wanting, then I honestly don't think you'll be able to get it done in photoshop. Photoshop isn't mainly used for animations of that sort. I'd advise finding a free flash banner maker, i've seen quite a few good ones.

As for the marquee effect, on the first frame move the text or w/e you're wanting to marquee to where you want it to start off. In the second frame use the Move tool (V is the shortcut) to move your text or marquee item across the image. The most sufficient way to do this is to hold shift, and drag the marquee item across the image with your mouse. Holding shift while you do this will assure you get a straight line. You can also move the image using the arrow keys. Holding shift while using the arrow keys will move the marquee item 10 pixels for every pressing of the arrow key, instead of 1 pixel.

If you need anymore help, please just ask!
