Baidu for China. Google for the rest. Maybe we're just too attached to branding but for me, whoever gives most of my blog's traffic, that's the best.
hmm Search Engine's I guess beauty it is the eye of the beholder after all It still amazes me how no company or organization has developed greater flexibility to their search brands. Eg, if I want to match words to a specific sentence that I feel would be present in a site Google returns something completely different and/or partly there. Trouble is Google feels that my search needs to be filtered with one standardized linguistical buffer and hence is function locked to that criteria, not mine (your your's). The best example is simply typing in a url address, Not this one specifically but say I type in example.com on Google now you know as well as I do that I'm seeking the home page for this term yet I receive a cubestat report, a digg submission a xomreviews some other rouge directory; Here's a classic casinomax.net_google search_result and no I'm not looking for casinomaxx.net Couldn't Google say the url your trying to find is not present in the data base. At least then I know that the SE has recognized my search as a url entry. Same paradox arises with the term 'freeware' now surely by now Google would be proud to state that the Page Rank weight system is not longer effective in the search criteria and that we are developing new second generation Ranking methods that will decipher sentences and weigh them into keywords combined with the sites bio in regards to how it carry's itself Linguistically. This way no matter how many quality links the site has if it places keywords like 'freeware' amongst it's software products then this is not relevant to the search phase. But no you've got one choice with Google and or the other SE's and that's their own brand of search not yours! To conclude I'm still waiting for an empirical SE to arise though I doubt this will happen in the near future unless Mozilla decide to join in on the game. There's no financial goal for the market to do this as the 'Big G' already has 90% these billion dollar companies Google, Bing and Yahoo (plus Ask) chasing the remaining 10%. Till then we're stuck with these billion dollar Engines with no search IQ. ROOFIS
Wow, there was a fake bing and ESET blocked of a virus >.> Make sure people dont go to the wrong sites.
Google is still the masters of all search engines.More users still go for the Google search than other search engines.
You know when you goto google.com? The bar on top E.g. News/blabla comes up dead slow if your internet lags
Google and Bing are great for general searching when you need a direct practical search result, but, spezify.com is my favorite when I need to be inspired for a project. I love the mixture of text, images and video in the results. Also it's results are very differrent than the popular search engines, but still on point and relevant.
