Bloggers - Why Your Blog Will Fail!

Now that you are here and reading my post, I am sure your blog will not be one of them that fails. However, please don’t take this comment lightly. As everything in life, you have to work for it and you’ve got to rise above your competitions.

Few days ago, I've posted a blog post "why your blog will fail." Through this post, I wanted to bring the reality to all the blogger looks alike...

If you are serious about blogging, you need to do something different... you need to do something different from your peers.

You need to learn to write for your audience rather than writing for the sake of writing articles. Many people put together a Wordpresss blog overnight. Then they are excited about their new blog because they too believe they will be able to make the six figure income that many bloggers enjoy.

Now picture this. You are in a football stadium and you are one of the 30,000 visitors that day. You start screaming about your new blog and start talking about your ideas and what you have to share. The person next to you start copying you and start talking about his/her website. Imagine now that the third, the fourth and everyone else next to you start doing the same thing. Now imagine more than 30% or about 10,000 fans in the stadium start to shout about their blog and their ideas. It wouldn’t make much sense to the other 70% of the audience would it? They will probably go crazy and won’t believe any one of you. They will probably start ignoring you and they will probably never want to see you again… Well it is no different on the internet. Many people are just shouting out what they have to say instead of speaking to their audience.

Read the rest of the article on my blog: Why Your Blog Will Fail.

Let me know what you think here of this... I believe it holds true... You need to work hard to achieve a successful blog...

original content really counts, but for most of us, find customers' interests and search habits is more important, after all, even if you write thousands of original articles about something porpular 20 years ago, people will not be interested in it.

blogging is all about an easy to read interesting post that has value to the person reading it. Write as if you know no one cares about you and write only about others and there interests

I think this pretty much hits the nail right on the head. Original content is paramount. If your readers can get what you're writing from somewhere else, then why would they come to your blog?

I think many bloggers often neglect putting themselves in their visitors shoes. This can often play a substantial role in assisting you in effectively advertising the blog.

Another thing I've noticed is a tendency to believe that good content is enough on it's own. It's absolutely not, and needs to be effectively balanced with an aggressive marketing campaign. It's important to consider how many free avenues there is to advertise your blog on the internet before attempting to revert to traditional paid mediums. In particular, I'd like to stress the importance of social media.

Not many. I don't care what anybody says you have to invest a lot (time, money, whatever) to get a little at first and then build on that.

Many of the bloggers that make money have been at it for years. It is a combination of a lot of factors and not simply one action that created a windfall.

Everything said here about the topic has validity. Over time, and in conjunction with proper SEO technique you will hopefully build a loyal audience and possibly make some money.

You could also have the reverse happen and do everything right and for some reason never make a dime.

There is some luck involved as well, and that may play a bigger role than many realize. It's a lot like having a retail store where the biggest factor is the location of the store, the name of the company, and the right product at the right time. That last one? Right product at the right time? That's the "luck" part. Sure, you can do a lot of research and be more prepared, but you cannot force the hand of human will. If people are not interested, they are not interested. You can't make them to like you or your blog. They will decide that without your help. Good salesmanship dictates that you do your very best to give them what they need to make an informed decision. That is not to say that it will work every time.

Sometimes people stumble on the right combination and hit the lottery.

Most of it is simply called work.

And yeah, the originating title of this thread is probably true for most blogs. What happens is people simply quit, that's what I believe. How many times have you happened on a blog that hasn't had a recent post for quite some time and wondered to yourself if they are still active or not? Besides maybe having a totally lame pointless blog, that seems to be the most likely reason that a blog never gets anywhere.

Blogging is a lot of manual labor no matter how you slice it. Keeping up on that kind of thing when it seems to be going nowhere is heartbreaking. And there are a gazillion blogs out there today, so the competition is fierce! Many of the high earning blogs have been around since the early days of the sport and have kept it interesting for the audience.

I have gone through the link and that article is really nice but I think the most important reason behind your blog is failure is the not updating your blog on regular basis with useful and unique content.

I doubt very many of them make anything... They all have the hope to make lots of money... they all have the potential to make lots of money... but many of them ignore the simple rules... they ignore the audience... they forget why they are blogging... hence they fail to make any money...

Most blogs fail when the blog owners stop trying. Stop posting updates, stop caring for the blog, and stop trying to bring in traffic. This is the #1 killer of 90% of the blogs out there today, and that's why most people don't make any money off of their blogs

As long as the bloggers dont think of making money from blogging for first two years, and just keep on writing and getting backlinks, the blogs will survive.

Try to make it different and give your own insight into it,then it will keep popular. What's more, the promotion is also very important. It's hardly to find a unique one with sole content. That is,you have to face competition. So how to distinct yours with ours? That's the thing you should care.

Orginal content is key but you both are absolutely right, you need to provide content for your audience... you need to provide information that the user is looking for... simply rewriting what is already available and making a post on your blog is not going to get any attention... people can just go to the original content site and read it... plus that sight may have higher authority than you...

Yes the writer should use the word "you" throughout the post... It is important to talk to your audience than to write a professional post that talks to nobody...

Sooner or later it comes down to the content quality. I can go through well positioned high PR blogs, when I don't find useful content, I move on. When I read a good blog with useful info, I keep coming back to it.

bang on. You make a very good point. If the blogger is not providing creativity along with quality content then there is no value added. With not any additional value, the blogger is not going to attract and retain visitors.
