How trackbacks help my blog?

    Something I dont understand. If trackbacks are just links back to people that have linked to me how does that help me in anyway?

    Should I delete all trackbacks from my blog?

    I'm wondering this too, I usually leave them on whenever I have a script installed (Wordpress, Pligg, etc) but I don't see any value in them

    Its definitely a little appreciation that bloggers practice and a little extension on information for blog readers. I personally accept them as long as it isn't a blatant attempt to get links from me.

    It really depends on where the trackback is coming from. If it's from a legitimate site that has content related to the content of my blog then I don't mind it. But sometimes it's from spammy sites looking for some linkjuice, and unfortunately it can lead to your blog being marked as "part of a bad neighborhood", plus it adds no values to my readers, so I delete those kind of trackbacks.
