DO we? u must not be knowing that india is one of the most powerful countries in the world MOST of the countries will surely support INDIA against CHINA let me tell u that india has already beaten Pakistan twice and this question was for china not for pakistan.... India is a peaceful country they will surely not encourage fighting....... is that fine!!!!!!!!!
China and India in a war = a crapload of dead people. China would crush India though as they have much more advanced technology.

Oh.. Okay! I think the US will support India. I think the relations between India and the US are far better than between US and China.But, that's not the main reason. US will not support China IMO and if it is a "This or That" thing, US has to take stance with India. They might as well choose to remain neutral , but will not support China.
I have some different opinion, I think US has to support India as US can not leave China alone in South Asia as a super power. US has to support India to make balance in South Asia and for the sake of their own benefits.

I assume that being as UN security council member itself signifies that China is a super power. but it doesn't make any difference as India is also a super power.
If war broke out between India and China, both countries would be devistated. The US would back India. Russia has China's back. The US and Russia would be fighting a proxy war in someone else's countries with the goal of crippling both economies and industries, and thus ultimately helping the US and Russia. It could also go one step further and set off WW3, and you don't want to be living in a country that hosts that battle.
United States and Allied would not interfere if there was a war between China/India, the only way they would is by diplomacy. If you read the history correctly of the United States it doesn't do that. In World War 2 the United States remained neutral for many years even though Germany, Italy, Japan was slaughtering millions of people and invading U.S allies and it remaind neutral until the Japanese invaded Pearl Harbor, thus, it had provoked a sleeping giant. The idea that some of you believe the United States would side with India in a war with China would be a disillusion. Currently China is one of the biggest trading partner of the United States and it owes China half-a-trillion dollars, if the US was to side with either one, if might be China to help pay off it's debt to China, so maybe it is the best time to start learning to speak Chinese now. If there was a war between China/India right now, I think Obama and the crew would be having a BBQ at the White House lawn, Hawaiian style.
I think you deserve a medal for calling that one out. Nothing tragic is going to come during 2012 except the usual pit-ass-bad crap we've come accustomed to. Maybe good things will happen. Maybe I'll finally make some $ online by then. Woot. JMM
