Is $40 a week good?

Hi, My website/forum gets $40 a week. If i decide to sell it what would the max i could get ?

 

If i need to consider this then i would have prayed to God to make the amount of weeks in a month to be around 10.

So 40 * 10$ = 400$

 

It depends. If you spend 40 hours a week working on site then it is not worth that much.

I think if lot of orgain traffic is one your site then it can bring you very good money(2k I think). By the way how you are earing 40$\week, through adsense, affilitae marketing or what?

 

I also earn same,but increasing day by day...its a positive .
First u need to follow that how improve ur visitor not money.....
When u improve ur visitor source,then u get more.......

Its certainly good if yours is a new site.

 

its not just the current revenue that determines the value of a site, there are lot of variables to consider. like how you drive traffic to the site/forum (if you kill yourself driving traffic to it, then it doesn't worth much), whether the traffic/revenue is sustainable in the long run, whether your traffic is steadily increasing or declining, etc. on an average, site sellers/buyers use a rule of thumb (10 times the monthly revenue) to get the value but thats too general. other factors i mentioned above go into consideration as well.

 

in my opinion ur forum worth is $500-$600

 

i suggest you keep it, let it grow old. Start other sites rinse and repeat

 

why you want to sell it if it earns you money? if i were you i would keep it for sure.

 

Its quite good, it will increase as you develop your website further in the future. Quality content and traffic is the main thing to adsense earnings.

 

If you can prove that the income has been stable and increasing slowly through a couple of months then you can get around $1,200 for it. Only if its stable though. If last month you were making like $5 then you won't get more than $400 for it.

 

Yeah you can definitely increase your earning rate by applying new techniques! anyways $40 for a week is also not a bad rate! to deal with

When i get 4000 visitors it usually goes over $7.50
When i get 2500 visitors it averages $4.00 - $6.00

Personally, that's not very good. If that were per day I wold consider it decent, but honestly, 40 a week is a drop in the bucket. You might see how prosperent ads do on the site. Far higher paypot if the site has something that can be monetized via target products. I'm over 1,000 for the month so far. If i give some people advise it is create a forum - SMF FREE. Add adsense to the forum homepage where it is visable where the user does not scroll. at fisrt sight. at top.

then add content. add seo functions. add pagerank links.
add sitemap to google.

wait 1-10 month for visitors.
