I'm looking for recommendations of a proxy site, service or software that meets my needs. If any one can recommend something I'd be very grateful. I've tried a couple of VPN trials and paid subscriptions for "fresh working proxy lists" and the likes but sadly they weren't really delivering what I wanted... I'm looking for highly anonymous/elite proxies in the UK and Europe (the UK mainly). They are not for downloading files or watching BBC iPlayer or similar, if there was a data transfer limit on the service I'd not reach it, 10mb is about all that would be used traffic-wise. I'd ideally like to be able to pick the location/IP address myself (so a service such as Tor that automatically chooses and rotates your IP address isn't suitable) and I'd like to have as many different IP addresses as possible to choose from, so for example I might want to connect on Monday using a London IP, on Tuesday an Edinburgh IP, on Wednesday a Dublin IP etc. etc. I'm more than willing to pay a subscription for either a list of or access to working servers with a usable speed (browsing is the only thing I'd be doing). I'm also open to paid-for software suggestions achieve this as at the moment finding one fresh highly anonymous/elite UK proxy per day is proving difficult! Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places?! Any suggestions welcome!
I just wonder if you have also tried FoxyProxy's paid proxy service (I think you pay for the list of working proxies in the UK, or other countries one can choose from). For those who don't know: FoxyProxy is a proxy switcher for FireFox
Thanks for replying. I have used the Foxy Proxy add-on before but didn't realise they had a paid for service, I'll have a look now. I think I'd personally be more comfortable with a VPN service but so long as it works, that's the main thing! Any recommendations for websites to check that the IP is hidden? I'm using a couple of websites from the top of a Google search at the minute to see if the proxy is identified or not but if there is another good website that can check the IP on I'd use that as well, sometimes the IP's location shows up as different on different websites so a third opinion etc. might give me some piece of mind that all is anonymous.
I am not affiliated with Foxyproxy, I am not sure if they are worth the costs. However, I know you can cancel the trial subscription which will trigger a CC or Paypal charge after 3 days or so. I hope this helps so that you can try them for free.
Sometimes it has been questioned whether Smowtion would pay. Today, I have received payment as set forth in their payment plan. Next month I will get two times what I have received today
if anyone is interested in buying my 5 proxy sites with custom designs please go here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1603808
Recently, it has taken Smotion really long to approve sites, a couple of days. They have become the victim of their own success
Adversal is very difficult to get in. But I know for sure that Smowtion pay well. (I rather doubt that one could use ads from both networks on the same page as far as I remember Smotion TOS)
They do take a while. That's why whenever I submit a site, I email my account executive. It gets handled MUCH faster that way. It's actually not too difficult, it's just that Adversal likes to have phases where they don't accept anybody (but leave the form up), and then for a month accept a bunch of people. If you can't get in, ask to be put on a waiting list until submissions opened up (I had to wait a few months, but that's how I got in). False, you can use Smowtion with any ad network. I use it on my homepage with AdSense and my proxified pages with Adversal. However, you CAN'T use Smowtion's popups with Adversal. When I talk about Smowtion, I am referring to banners only.
