I have an article that has been published by AB and now I am working on getting it boosted in the SERPS. It currently sits on the second page.

What I want to do: I want to edit the Resource Box of the article...nothing else.

If I do this, will it effect the articles current ranking in google?

Whoa, editing the resource box? That's a load of hard work, innit?! Maybe you can just eat some icecream and do some wishful thinking? Surely that will push the article to the number one! :-/

@smitten Ok. So your reading comprehension might be lacking. If you think I meant that pushing my rank higher in the SERPS just by editing my resource box, then you thought wrong. I might be new to IM, but I am not an idiot.

I just want to know if changing your resource box after google has indexed the article affects it at all.

Well, I've tried before. Doesn't seem to affect.

Lol, I get irritated in the face of lazyness. And yes, it turns out my reading comprehension was clouded with my annoyance, back there.

If you're worried your main article will drop in SERPS after editing the resource box, I don't see a reason for such thing to happen. Unless of course you happen to remove the target keyword you're already ranked for - but I suspect you won't be doing that, right?
