The $25 press release special I've been running all summer for DP members is ending on August 31st - a little over a week from now. So if you'd like a release written about your company or site news, be sure to get in touch this week to give me your details and place your order. Even after the special ends however, you can still feel free to use the free press release resources I have available for you over at BizAmmo.com, including: 25 Press Release Ideas How to Write a Press Release Free Press Release Template Online Press Release Distribution Press Release Writing Tips And as always if you just want some general feedback or comments on your own press release, feel free to post them publicly or PM me, and I'll give you a few tips (not editing it for you) on how you can improve its chances out on the wires. Jenn
It's going to $99... used to be $75, but is being increased because of the increased demand on other services I offer where I earn significantly more. The $99 is just writing. I'll be re-doing my website in coming weeks, and offering a few new distribution options. For the time being newswire distribution is just $5 per free wire, and you can then upgrade if / where you'd like to. If you have other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Jenn
August 31st is the last day. Orders need to be placed by Thursday to get the summer sale price. After that, it goes back up to the regular rates. Jenn
Depends entirely on what you want. A manual campaign can range from hundreds to thousands of dollars. Using newswires, I'll submit them to the free ones at $5 per wire to cover my time, and then the client has the option to upgrade on their own if they so choose. Jenn
I would love to see a service that helps to de-mystify the press release process. When I go to the "paid" sections of the big sites (like PRWeb.com) - I am totally befuddled by all the potential options. Hopefully you might think about a service that does everything from beginning to end - including one of the low cost ($100 - $500) newswires.
Well, I can always write reviews or summaries on my new site (follow the press release resources link in my sig), or blog there. As for my own services, it's a possibility. All summer I've been losing money offering the rates so low, so packaging it wasn't an option. With them going back to "normal", I'm also revamping my business site, hopefully next week or the following, where I'll be updating, adding, and removing a variety of services. The reason I haven't offered a package deal as of yet is because I prefer not invoicing clients until the release work is finished. If I were to be charging them directly for upgraded newswire distribution, I would have to switch to a prepay format, which I'm not particularly comfortable with, so I don't spend a few hundred dollars out of pocket upgrading their releases only to have them "change their minds" after all is said and done. While I don't think most would do that, I've had enough issues over the summer with even regular clients paying extremely slowly that in the beginning it could drive a huge hole in my revenue if a similar situation arose. I'll consider it, but not sure about it yet. Do you think enough people would be fine pre-paying for services that were more comprehensive, or do you think they'd scoff at the idea? Jenn
True - it is hard to say what other people are comfortable with - I am very comfortable with pre-payment. Especially when the person I am dealing with understands what they are doing, I am very happy paying the price. It is much cheaper than paying two people to do the job badly. Perhaps it is just something that you put us as a "custom" package - and you negotiate it with individuals as needed.
