A good ranking? I think I understand your question correctly. A good ranking is a level 4. It takes a while to get there. You just have to keep consistently posting quality answers. You can also become a top contributor if you answer a lot of questions on s specific subject and get the best answers frequently.

    **edit**

The best ranking is a level 7 (that is what I meant to put originally). You have to have 25,000 points to get there! That takes a LOOOOONNNNNGGGG time.

Wow I bet maybe next year I'll get to that level if I consistently answer questions on a daily basis.

Yahoo is not showing my links on answers anymore? Have they changed their policy regarding this? Looks like the guys with level 2 are getting the links...

I have a Yahoo! Answers account on level 4. Soon level 5. I've got warned so many times before for putting links in my answers. If my answers have been short, and I've put a link it - then I've got reported. But... if you answer a question like this, and put a link in the source box like I've done, then you don't have to be afraid. As you can see, that answer will be the best answer in a few days. That gives him (my client) even more link juice.

Now that's how you answer questions. The answer is honest. I help people, and at the same time, I get link juice. Does it get better?

I always thought yahoo answers would be more time consuming than what it's worth, but to each there own. If you have the time to mess with it, go for it.

This is not effective anymore- now you can't have links, so all you can get is direct traffic, and barely any, at that.

I think it has changed. If you are a level 1, your links aren't clickable. Yes, it is time consuming. When I first started using Yahoo answers, it took a few weeks to see anything. It is not going to be right away. It depends on the niche and keywords. Nothing happens over night. It is just one of the many many (did I say many?) things you can do to get traffic and market yourself.

I read somewhere that there's a software that can automate the whole process. I just don't remember the name of the sofware. Anyone knows? Or has anyone used it before?

That would be cool, the only automated process I know is paying people to do it.

Simply post your answers with the link, i think these links are no follow, so you will not get any backlink.

I've used yahoo answer before and it can generate traffic to my website. But now the rules is getting more difficult. If you put link at your answer your account will banned. In most cases our competitor who will report our answer (with link inside) to yahoo in order to eliminate their competitors.

You can make lots of yahoo accounts. Posting a link with your link gets you targeted traffic who is more likely to click your ads.
