    His second point is valid - if you submit the article to other article sites with backlinks to article sites then the links would go to the article sites, not your own site.

    First of all let me say that I didn't even bother reading the article. But - I can, in all honesty, say that article marketing indeed doesn't work, and a few other things that don't work are:

    * Search Engine Optimization
    * Affiliate Marketing
    * Social Bookmarking
    * Paid Traffic
    * Any other traffic generation tactic

    ... IF YOU DON'T DO IT RIGHT!

    Seriously, some random guy (who is probably just bitter because he hasn't succeeded in anything) writing an article claiming that something that has been around for a while and made many of us a very decent amount of money doesn't work holds a little bit less value than a bum walking around the town yelling out that the world is going to end tomorrow.

    This is really interesting and open to some debate. I can see how one side feels this way and yet others feel another. Personally, it's very hard to say. I think I'm not going to take a stand on this yet. Curious to see what others feel.

    Article marketing is a proven old timer. He got some valid points, but judged from wrong directions. Article marketing can greatly help in SEO contributing to traffic, plus a good article always pulls decent amount of traffic.

    For instant coffee type results we are better off with social marketing.

    I agree with the this point, choose respected article sites and submit to just those.

    I'm not going to bother reading the blog because I know it works.

    About 90% of my marketing is article marketing and I make some pretty decent coin.

    In fact, it works so well that I am a premium publisher at ezine.

    It works so well that I write 20 - 25 articles daily and get thousands of hits to my websites that convert.

    "If you submit the article to an article site and market the article on social media sites, the links will be going to the article site and not your own"

    ------------

    Duh. Why would you market another site?

    If you wash your neighbors car your car will still be dirty. Duh.. It is hard to tied your shoes with gloves on. Duh..

    That is about the stupidest article I have ever skimmed..

    If you don't do anything right it won't work.

    It does work, I have made money from it but it is very time consuming and can suck a lot sometimes.

    I agree. A lot of this stuff is garbage designed to please Google. Since Google probably is the Antichrist, I would say that this synopsis is a good one.

    Worth repeating.

    It takes a lot of time and work. You have to submit article after article after article to see any money (I'm not talking about this overreated seo, though).

    But, if you like to do that, if you like to write....

    Article marketing is a waste of time, you spend hours to do a quality article for ezine and they get the cash. My 1 cent advice is if you have quality articles use them in your own blog.

    Looks like article writing is not your cup of tea... if shouldn't be more than 15 minutes to put together an article that would work on ezine and generate traffic.

    If it took me hours to write an article I would consider it a waste as well.

    Associated content has at least one postive thing - it pays.
