Hello everyone, I want to wish each one of you guys a nice day. I got into affiliate marketing almost 6 months ago, and I've been in both sides of balance. I've been an affiliate and a merchant, always working with different affiliate networks. Now I’ve taken the next step. I'm becoming my own affiliate program manager. I got the hosted version of Post Affiliate Pro 4, and now I'm learning the ins and outs of that program, eventually I'll get the software, but for now it suits my needs. From now on I'll make a daily post, or at least try to, letting you guys know how this is going, and portraying this new adventure I've just begun. If any of you guys have questions, or even better, suggestions on how to make this quest "easier", just post them. Thanks to everyone for your attention and enjoy the rest of your day.
Hi misterdonman, Looks like you settled on an affiliate tracking solution. Good to hear. Lots of luck learning the affiliate management business. I'm sure you'll do well. Keep us posted.
Like you I've tried many different ways of making money online. The one that suited me the most was affiliate marketing. Mostly because I don't have to get on the phone, I don't have to talk to anyone in person, I can just sit behind my computer desk and surf the net working on my website and getting my affiliate links out there. I hope it works for you. Good luck.
Well, It's been a few days since I got the affiliate software and a week since I decided to begin this new quest. So far I've had some serious issues with it. First I've had to take a fast curse of Html and Css, things that I had no idea about and that I didn't think is was involved in it. Perhaps it was a mistake not knowing it first, anyway. Another issue I'm dealing with is that I haven't been able to cutomize the color scheme of the templates they've provided me with. i'm looking for a way to make it look similar to my website. I'll continue working on it, and I'll keep you guys updated. Have a marvelous day
I hadn't post in quite a few days but here I go again.I have been very busy setting up the entire program. I managed to customize my mini-site with .css and now I'm dealing with the tracking configuration. The creatives are almost finished as well and the entire process seems to be going well. Now, I'll have to begin a research on where to promote my affiliate program and as well begin a back link test of my niche competitors to find out where they're placing their links to their affiliate program and to find out as well possible business partners and super affiliates. I continue this endeavor and as I do it I'll keep you guys updated. Happy day
Here I am again. It's been crazy lately. There are plenty of things I'm doing at the same time. I'm finishing the mini-site for my affiliate program, thought I had finished it but I decided to put some more info so I've had to work on it. Additionally as I mentioned in the previous post I'm doing the back link test for the competitors. Another task I must begin is the search for Supper Affiliates that are focused on the niche my product is at, by the way it is Forex. As well I'm still struggling with the tracking because I have to integrate my tracking system and Post Affiliate Pro. As time passes I realize all the things that are involved in developing an in-house affiliate program and I know that I haven't covered everything yet. But so far the whole experience has been great; I've learnt a lot and have had tons of ideas for IM. I'll keep you guys posted. Have a great day
I'm back here! Well things aren't going as well as I expected. Specifically the tracking, it's harder that I thought and more complex. The tracking tools the software offers are really good, but I need a special kind of tracking. I got in touch with the tech support team and they've told me that I should hire a webdeveloper because the process to integrate the tracking and the tracking it self is way complex. Now I'm a bit demoralized. But I'll find the way to succed in this quest. I'll let you know guys how things evolve. Great day to everyone
Try contacting the software company again and seeing if they have any paid installation/setup services. What software are you using? Good luck!
Well, as you might have read I'm using Post Affiliate Pro 4 but in the hosted version, which restricts me a lot. Additionally I use a trading platform manager Caller mt4. PAP have a full version, which I'll get later. But the issue right now is that I must get in touch with mt4 developers to see if I can acces to the programming for me to be able to integrate PAP tracking code into it.
Well it's been a while since I didn't make a post in this thread. The last few days have been crazy. The tracking set up is taking longer than expected and unfortunately it seems it'll take even more time. I'm considering doing that part manually while the tracking issue is fixed. Sincerely don't know what to do. Any suggestions please? Good Day

Ok, I hadn't made any postings lately. Things were really difficult at the beginning but finally I was able to pull it through. The affiliate program was released about two weeks ago and I already have 80+ affiliates approved. Don't know yet which ones will end up being really profitable. I've been on the quest for super affiliates but the task has been hard. Anyway, with this affiliates I have I'm already making a good profit, and them are profiting as well. The next step is to start doing some serious link building work and promotion. Plan to start with Facebook and Twitter, we'll see how that goes. I'll keep you guys posted on the matter. Great days
I have been working on Post Affiliate Pro software and have observed that it is one of the very good affiliate tracking softwares. Since that now your program is working good and you are enjoying its great otherwise you could have tried out for clickinc which provided hosted affiliate tracking software and are really very good. I am still using post affiliate pro and I am really happy the way its working, of course you need lots of efforts from developers to customize it but I think at least there no tracking missing or issue like that which can create a problems for affiliates performance. Up to some extent reporting structure can be improved in PAP or else everything is good.
Ok, I've had it! Post Affiliate Pro Sucks! The clicks are not tracked, the entire software is filled with bugs! I was on a hosted version and decided (worst decision ever) to get the license, now it has many problems, the migration was partialy done, and now that I want to do something that I did (create an Action Commission) I have to pay for it!!! It was free in the hosted version and now they want me to pay for it??? Dear friends NEVER EVER get this crappy tracking system!!! Now I'm thinking of moving everything to a REAL and SERIOUS company that provides me with a good tracking software. Can someone suggest me a good one? Thanks
