(a) I want to make lots of money online (b) I want to run a profitable and sustainable business If you answered (a) then good luck, you won't start seeing any type of serious cash until you change to (b). I don't know for the rest of you but I stumbled across internet marketing via the old google search engine after numerous variations of ''make money online''. Even when I found the legit business model of internet marketing the ''make money online'' line of thought was still dominant and thus it held me back even though I had all the tools and education required at WA to succeed. Then one day I just shifted my perception and said ''hey I'm going to start a business online...not just a stupid hobby of writing an article a week or doing a bit of ppc'' The rest is becoming history So inconclusion, just having a mindset that focuses on your visitors happiness and not yours can x100 your income potential
some good points. most online ventures lack any kind of business plan. you need that first. in that you need to all that you mentioned and more. your mindset does not need to be changed but your approach to creating an online business does. it's more inclusive than just a change of attitude
One of the key point in my opinion: You need to invest money, no matter if online or offline. If you don't spend money and only work hard, you'll fail. You can't base a business on work only.
totally agree with this: the invest money thing. where most newbies fall down is the spending money on stuff they don't really need (the next opportunity, I MUST HAVE PLF, I MUST HAVE mass control,....) instead of focussing on the one thing they really need right now. The big difference is "just in case" purchasing (just in case I ever launch my product, then I'll need launchtree so I can do all the upsells) vs "just in time" (ok, I've now got my product, I've got a sales-page, I've got traffic, I've got a list, NOW I want to learn about doing upsells. Let me look into launchtree right now). my view is: if you wouldn't feel comfortable going to the bank and presenting to them what you want to buy and WHY you want to buy it, then don't buy it. Veit
I think this is where most beginners have a hard time, having money to invest make a difference between having a business up and running in a month or one in a year. Most free methods take so much time and rewards are low unless you have the money to invest into the software to automate it so its kind of a catch 22
