    I'm pretty sure it refers to 3 characters with the TLD .com. That would mean any combination of letters and numbers to make 3 characters.

    Examples would be 6b3.com or rc8.com. (I don't own them -- just made them up.)

    If someone is looking for three letters and .com, they will say they are looking for LLL.com.

    Also, if you look at his budget, you can tell he is not going for a 3-letter .com.

    If he was asking for LLL.coms, his budget could range from $x,xxx all the way up to $xx,xxx,xxx.
