What should I do now?

I've just offered to sell one of my sites through 'Buying, selling & trade' room, and someone has agreed to buy my site. However how can I contact that person as that person doesn't leave any message for me nor PM me? How can I be sure that he's serious about his offer to buy my site?

I've also checked my email incase there is a PM message, but there's nothing in there.

I'm sorry if I sound kinda 'dumb' since this is my first time selling one of my sites and I have absolutely nothing of what I should do next after someone agrees to buy my site.

    thank you

yES, I've done that... but still no answer...

by the way, in the mean time, what steps should I take (in detail) next after he pays me? I bought that domain fm godaddy.com and get it hosted in an Indonesian hosting company. Do I only have to give him the username and password to cpanel and wp-admin? Please kindly let me know what I should do next since this is my first time selling one of my sites. What should I do with the hosting company in Indonesia to tell him that someone has bought my site and domain?

Thank you so much for your answers

What about his iTrader? Check his iTrader, and see if it's high or low. If he has no iTrader - then don't bother sending him more messages... but if he has a high iTrader - he's probably busy. That's what I do.

His iTrader is 0, and he has joined this forum since May'09, and since then he has only had 3 posts. So I just wait for him to contact me then?

LOL. He registered this year and has 3 posts with 0 iTrader. This guy is definitely just fooling around. Stop thinking about him. He'll either run away with your money or just waste your time. Look for serious buyers instead! That's always better.

The only "dumb" thing would be to assume they're just fooling around because they're a new member. Some of our biggest buyers here are just lurkers on the public boards. So ignore comments like that. Might it be true? Sure, it could be true of any member -- definitely not just newbies.

You neglected to tell us probably the most important fact. How LONG has it been since the person won the auction? Did it happen right before the weekend? If so, give them another couple of days. If they're here for business, they might not check in on DP over the weekend. If it's been a week or more, then go ahead and report them for walking out on their winning bid.

Thanks for the advise, it's been less than 12 hours since the person won the action. OK, I'll just wait for him then. So if it's been a week and I still haven't heard anything from him, I can just forget him and place another offer then in the forum, am I right?

Definitely give it some more time then. 12 hours really isn't much. They could be in a different time zone and done with business for the day. They could just be enjoying their Sunday with their family. They might have gone out of town for the day. I'd give them at least until Wednesday to get in touch, but that's just me. I would definitely say don't report them as a non-paying bidder until more time has gone by though. Mods aren't going to act on something that quickly after the close of an auction.

I'll leave it to Shawn to address your other question. He knows more about the auction system. Rather than starting a new one you might be able to put in a request to have your end time change so it can continue (since he's already said only one thread per offer, even if it doesn't sell the first time). In the case of a non-payer though the situation's a bit different. Not sure if he can / will make edits though. I'll ask and point him to this thread.
