Check your transaction history for payment you made and payment you received.

And regarding limited access you can call them (paypal) at their phone number and try to solve it quickly through that.

    DON.

From reading your post, it appears your wife's account is limited due to certain transactions and Paypal probably needs certain clarifications for which it would be wise to call them immediately.

As regards, your own account, I think the access has been limited for your own safety and things would become normal after they have done a security check. I do not think you are required to do anything, at least on this one...as of now!

Yes, I agree with Rightman said. Also just check your payment transaction history via "Payment Sent" option to know whom the payment were sent.

where is your wife ? is she in other country or different place and you are trying to access her account ? that could be the reason of unauthorized account access

Check transactions History On and Before 5 August , You have to give whole explanations about those Transaction to PayPal ...
Also Provide them What they demands in Resolution Center maybe Name ,Address Proof with Utility Bill...

Then Paypal lift Limitation on your account...

Your wife PP acc is personal or premier acc?
Because if its personal acc, then its normal to get limited access if you sent mass pay.

Advise for you, just remove the pp case id coz its confidential.

Of course... there is no harm in giving this option a try as well! You got nothing to lose by calling them. Who knows, you might be able to convince them more appropriately of your genuineness via a personal talk! :)

You should give Paypal a call ASAP. If someone did truly hack your account than you need to call them, and file an "Unauthorized Claim".

i had a similar problem where my account was hacked i had numerous charges that were all reversed. i had 400$ in the account and it was limited, everytime i tried to update the limitations under the review nothing would update i must have changed my password and secret question 50 times haha.

In the end a simple call to paypal support had my account limitations removed in a matter of minutes iwth little hassle.

forget trying to do this through the paypal website, trust me it doesnt work just call them you will thank yourself.

on a side note, dont let it happent to you, dont cache your passwords in your browser, do get a good antivirus, dont download anything without scanning it, dont signup for anything until you have read the TOS. those few tips should save most people.

im thinking my break in was due to a virus from a file i downloaded and neglected to scan it grabbed my cached password and sent it to the criminals. funny thing is i am more than capable of doing all of this myself and yet i was still stupid enough to fall victim to it. dont be dumb like me be careful haha. luckily i got my money back no harm done.
