Ok, my site www.digital-pod.com still hasn't been crawled by any search engine, even though I have Google AdSense. Does anyone know how I can get it crawled, also do you know any good directories I can submit too?

    Try Google-Analytics. It's a short-cut someone told me about.

Eh? I have never heard that Analytics is connected to the Google bot, do you have info on that?

White Monkey - the link in your sig should do the trick and its a matter of waiting now.

Maybe that's why his SEO services are cheap! :D

    Joking ;)

Links - simple as that, build links to your website, and in time you will be indexed in all of the search engines. Google is usually the quickest, with Yahoo the slowest - from my experience.

simple! submit to google sitemaps. Try getting backlinks and allow about 2-3 months for google to crawl.

    1. Use google sitemaps.
    2. Submit to directories
    3. Add your link to your sig in all the forums you use (that let you)
    4. Write more content whilst you wait.

It should take less than a week to get indexed.

Just get a link from another website. Or post your site in a quality directory. That will get it spidered.

Everyone has a view on this. I have launched 3 sites this year with varying degrees of success in getting Google to visit quickly. One factor that does seem to hold true is not just getting links, get one or more of at least PR3, google then pays more attention.

Seems to me that google is a little slower right now for indexing new sites. Mine has been up for about 3 and a half weeks and my main page finally just showed up. I have PR0 but I have a few strong links(PR3+) pointing to it so I think it's just a matter of having patience more than anything right now.

I was starting to really get worried too :)

    White Monkey,

Directories are websites that list other websites, there are thousends and the most important of all is DMOZ.

I'd try searching for directories oriented to your "market", a good tip is to search something like: "your keywords"+"submit url". then sites that will allow you to submit your website URL will be listed, being those directories or any other.

    Hope it helps!
