Hi Friends Can any tell about importance: keywords and description are must to publish or title is sufficient? plz. tell under google searching policy
The importance of meta title and description are greatly diminished in Google and other major search engines. It no longer help with SERP position, as it's just to easy to manipulate SERPS with text that isn't even displayed to the casual browser. However, Google and other search engines DOES still display meta descriptions if it matches the key phrase searched for. And, there are still some older engines out there that will still use the description and keyphrase. So, while it isn't as important as it used to be, you should still take the time to fill out your meta description and keywords appropriately.
You definitely want to optimize title tags as it is VERY important for rankings. You also need to optimize the meta description for each page on your site. Even though Google doesn't consider the meta description for ranking purposes, they do display it as the Google search snippet sometimes as selectsplat pointed out. And while the meta keywords element is ignored by most engines, the idiots at Yahoo! seem to still be using it! LOL So I would include it for just to be complete.

Meta Description is more important than Meta Keywords, you should put a really detailed easy to read description that makes sense and rich in keywords. You also do not disregard of the keywords completely because some search engines might still value it more than Google. Zac
