Should Bing.com ads be put in the competitive ad filter? I noticed they were running and I stuck the URL in my filter assuming they just are not paying a whole lot . . . being such a huge conglomerate....curious as to any thoughts you have on this.

Assuming that you are talking about appearance of Bing ads through Google adsense.
Why add them to ad filter? It's Google who is responsible for showing these ads, not you.

    You're missing the point.
#1. I realize IT ISN'T ME whose responsibe for showing the ads (it's Goog)
#2. I'm adding them to the filter assuming they are only a penny per click.
#3. The cost the ads pay is what concerns me from a "big company" standpoint

In essence, should I put them in the filter and let the next advertiser thake their place? And while thinking of it, is there an actual tool to see what an actual advertiser is paying for any ads that AdSense displays?

Ohh, got the point now.You can try removing those Bing ads using filter. But I think that Google makes sure that the highest paying advertisers get 1st preference, so those Bing ads may get replaced by the ads paying lesser.

And you can never find how much a specific advertisement is paying you.

Sounds interesting...I see what you mean. Well, let's assume Bibg pays a penny per click...if I sweep them into the filter, then pershaps dogpile might show up with the same paying ad....who knows! Right? Well, maybe I'll keep search for a tool to show what certain advertisers are paying...thanks again

Well, that competitive ad filter is about the ONLY way to NOT allow ceratin companies to run ads on your adsense. I just figured place like BING and others buy up huge amounts of advertising, allowing them to pay very little to place thier ads across the AdSense network. I'm surprised to see Goog allowing BING to run ads (since they are the competition). I guess that's proof that "money talks & ******* walks"

I wouldn't put them in filter if they are not competing with any product that you are trying to sell. Google shows ads that have a higher chance of getting clicked, and not just the ones that will pay you well. If they show the highest paying ads but no one clicks on them, then what is the point.
