Black Friday Has Killed Sales?

As you guys can see, ever since Black Friday, I've had zero sells! I thought for a few days it's just bad luck, or maybe something was wrong with my links. Everything was doubled checked (all going good through tracking202) with my hop counts and order forms impressions spot on. It's around 200 hops a day, and 20 order form impressions. For the last few months I'd make a sell every day (for the most part), but this is very different.

Anyone else have this happen to them? Is it just the season and people are out of money (especially with online stuff)!

You can see my two sites below, both repair/gaming niche. I also do alot of PPC for them on YSM! Those sites get about 150 people a day each too ! Any suggestions? Thanks guys!

Low ppc traffic conversion rate relate to many things.Such as the target of keywords, product quality, content of wed pages. So 150 ip signify nothing .

Contrary to what people say, I think most digital products suffer under the Christmas season. I know it depends on the niche you are promoting, but I think there is a general sales drop for most DP products during this season.

I have had a drop in my sales too, though not as bad as you are having right now.

I've been using the same formula for months and had the same conversions every day so I doubt it's any of that, since it hasn't changed.

It seems there is a fluctuation in CB sales tracking.
Hope it would be OK by this week end.

My sales have tanked also. I average around $250 to $300 a week and spend about $50 on pay per click. I've had zeros for nine out of the last eleven days, with only one sale on each of the other two days. For the first time in two years, I won't even be receiving a check from CB for the week ending 12/2. These kind of fluctuations seem to be the norm with CB, for whatever reason, but I've never experienced anything like this. Just hoping and praying that whatever is causing it goes away soon as I'm still spending the same on PPC and getting the same amount of traffic. I've considered shutting down my PPC until after the holidays. If it keeps up like this, I won't have any choice.

    What's your hop count daily?

If you were averaging a single sale a day, then it's pretty common to see 7 days without a single sale.

You need to build up more traffic to see 2 - 3 sales daily ..

To Precious007: I'm not sure if you're asking me this question or the person who made the original post. If you were referring to me, I don't have just a tremendous amount of traffic. I'm very much a part-timer. It usually runs around 300 hops for the week. I just checked my stats for the weeks leading up to this last one and I usually get an order every 25 to 30 hops. (My ads are very targeted). This past week, I averaged 189 hops per order. I've checked my links and everything looks fine. Don't know if it's a tracking problem or credit card processing problem or if maybe people are just doing a lot of window shopping. Who knows. I really don't know what to believe or not believe anymore. As I said, I've had slumps before but nothing quite this bad. It always seems to come back eventually. Hope it does this time before I go broke with PPC.

@ Doloboy, your stats do seem a little extreme, but if you are only sending low traffic then you could just be a little unlucky.

I think to have a slow few days after black friday / thanksgiving weekend is quite normal - people spend like crazy over this weekend and generally cool down a little, but don't get deterred - it is the lead up to christmas and sales will pick back up if you put the work in now on the right products for the christmas boom :)

The last few years it has been getting harder for online marketers around this time. Especially since someone made up the phrase "cyber monday". Now every fair-weather marketer throws their crap up on the internet for the holidays. Just hold out for these bozos to go away. I've found that my best sales come for about a month right after Christmas is over.

Our CB sales are down from ave $350/day to $150/day. Started to slide early November and really poor now. Had a record week of $3000 in September so am guessing this is seasonal. Hops are pretty consistent and the traffic is organic and list driven. Saw this last year too ( good in September; poor November/December ) but not as extreme. Order form submission to sales ratio is about 60% and some of the higher value affiliate products we promote are no longer converting. Our digital products on and off CB are selling poorly too.

I've had an increase in sales this past Nov/Dec, it really depends on what you are selling, what you got to think is what type of products people want to buy for their friends and family at xmas and what type of digital products can be useful to them.

Have you heard of the Downward Spiraling Economy and Job Loss they are talking about every single night on the news? Have you? Hmmmmm

Do you think that people are just sitting around trying to figure out ways to get rid of all their excess cash?

This pre-christmas period can be really detrimental to digital products, and I think most affiliates would notice a decrease in sales. Look at the 'Clickbank Index' graph at www.cb-analytics.com , you'll notice a big drop these past couple of weeks.

However, I do believe gaming products will perform a bit better this time of the year. A lot of new consoles are bought during this time of the year, which opens up the demand for many of the gaming products.

I mentioned in my post but,

I gain around 150 hops a day, all targeted traffic from YSM and YA, leading with about 20 order form impressions per 150.

Would you mind telling me your niche? Just for comparison!

Got a sale today, finally! And it was from one my content sites...

Mine seems to have died before Black Friday...

Nothing changed on my end, but hops are up.

Maybe I need to get into Zhu Zhu Pets?

    @Everyone..

Some seem to have problems after the black friday while some had a lack in sales even before that.

Different patterns. Getting 150 hops a day is just not enough to make a consistent "1 sale" daily. 300 - 400 hops is more likely to make a sale daily.
