I would definitely agree with what your saying.. from what i see and read, i think Bing will be the top search engine soon.. or maybe sooner than what we all think.. Failure will teach them to be better
If Windows7 crashed on you, would you say "give it a break, it's new"? False. Even then it was only a slow down and not a crash.
Bing did NOT buy Yahoo's search algorithm and Yahoo is integrating Bing into its search engine. And you never know, it may die like Live Search did. At the rate Bing is going, it won't amount to anything (8% market share).
Everyone has their website crash, geez. I'm sure back in the 90's, Google had their website crash from time to time as well. They might suck (at present), but give 'em a break man.
FaceBook never crashed on me, lol. Maybe I was not online when it did, Also, websites must crash sometime or another. Picture google, for example. One of the world's biggest search engines out on the internet. Even my website had a small down time some days ago. But, that has not stopped me. Bing is a nice website, and they will not stop just because someone says, "It is a fail, why don't they just give up". Bing is my fourth favourite search engine on the internet, And their doing a great job so far.
Here's the difference. Google has multiple server farms located around the world. Microsoft has the same, I believe. If Google crashed, you are saying all the server farms around the world went down at the same time. THAT has never happened to Google. It DID happen to Microsoft.
how can bing rise if it has war with Google, Google is the great player and no one can stand in front of Google.
Websites crash from time to time believe it or not. Google has gone down a total of 4 times. If google is prone to crashes then everyone else is too. Also last time I checked having your site crash due to too much traffic is never considered a bad thing?
It wasn't just a web site. The whole system across the world went down. Absolutely false! as I said before. We don't know that's the reason so now you're guessing.
Google isn't that old. It wasn't that long ago that no one ever heard of it and everyone said the same of Alta Vista. The web changes all the time and when it does, it changes quickly. It will only take one mistake for Google to loose market share. They are amassing a lot of information about people..if any of that is ever comprised...bye, bye Google. People will never trust them again, or any other SE that saves personal information. As it is now, Google has been subpoenaed in court to give up people search habits in some criminal cases. Can you imagine of you had a legal problem and the court could get your search history to show your habits? Do you want people to know that you searched for Porn, or Herpes treatments (for instance)?
Well Not much people use Bing, Only the hype that was, when it was first released after that Microsoft could not do much to retain the traffic
Definitely a wake up call. Major SE's throw billions into these and it still goes to show that no server or software platform is invincible no matter what size it's infrastructure is or how many redundancy systems are in place. ROOFIS
Let me learn something Google has crashed atleast 2 times and they are: Latest: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2502475/Google-crashes-after-Michael-Jackson-dies.html Crash: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-st...-hour-causing-internet-chaos-115875-21361488/ So stop playing that google is impossible to beat, and see the potentiel on Bing, when google can crash, bing may too. The thing that will make google fail is that they get too much pwer and people will start too fear them, already know they have got the power, and now that they are competing against more companies, they will fail, cause of they have to compete on them all.
