I have been reading about this jargon 'Niche mini sites' that could be developed within "x" minutes or x Days! what exactly should be the size of such sites? Is it better to target long tail keywords in such blogs/sites or just make it content rich? someone who has been successful , could guide me in this regard?
I have never tried it, but they are usually a dozen pages and very specific, so it's more long tail keywords of course. They will be easy to position in search engine results because of the very low level of the competition. There could be a few pages in the search results about this specific topic, so if you make a mini site about this topic, with a dozen pages about it, you'll be number one above the rest of the results which will be way less relevant. But in turn your traffic will be very low, but highly targeted.
All you need is basically 10-30 pages focusing on details. Don't focus on 1-word phrases. Instead, focus on 2-words, 3-words ones. Of course, you need maybe 50-100 such websites as not every is going to generate revenue. You also need a good domain name (this research is quite time consuming). I'll tell you my story... I own aqua-fish.net where I get over 200K monthly visits (maybe 450K impressions). But my 3 small (really small) other websites that together get about 100 daily impressions earned 7% of my adsense income in November! Earnings rate: 7% Impressions rate: 0.66% I found this kind of websites to be worth my time and what I'm going to do next is focusing on them. Additionally, investments aren't big as there are plenty of freelancers willing to write 20-30 pages for under than $100 (OK, quality could be better, but it's not a rocket science). The only problem is that these websites usually lack in terms of quality and they may look like MFA. So I never put more than 1 adsense unit per 1 page.
5 pages of unique content, properly placed ads, long tailed keyword phrases, some backlinks and BOOM! I have a boatload of them working for me and a friend doing the same thing.
Spot on mate! I have 11 by now and developing new ones almost weekly. Start putting the ideas to action and BANK IT!
Nice to hear some good news. I am currently searching for some long tail keywords. Presently I am thinking of writing by myself and should the result follows I may think of outsourcing. Thank you for your time and advice.
It really varies by site... my lowest averages just over 1.00 a day and the highest one earns in the 40.00 day range.
Don't forget, domain name is also important. I recommend you, that you take exact keyword domain for better seo.
Is this similar with the Link Wheel strategy? If it is, then I've been using this link networking idea to work on optimizing through Web 2.0 networks and then grabbing traffic to my main website. It's all an easy and reliable process as long as you provide relevant and unique articles in each network and that way you get easily indexed by the search engines. If you can't do this all by yourself, outsourcing this activity can also be managed!
