Thanks for your appraisal. Can anybody give some idea how to monetize it, such as building a forum about wordpress or a premium blog with many premium wordpress tools/plugins/themes etc.
Well you included trademark word in your domain and this not good I say its not worth any thing May i'm wrong
Well I haven't thought yet. Can anybody put some light in this ? Is it really that bad ? I mean I've seen many successful sites with the trademark names, like facebook, myspace, google.
Maybe a tutorial about how to code or modify WordPress themes? Or guide on how to extend WordPress further for various sites. And then sell such services.
I don't agree with you. I think, if properly monetized, then it has every possibilities of become a Brand in IM.
Dear chandan, I've seen that. But what I want to know, despite all of their warnings, are they can really sue me ? I'm asking this cause I've seen many successful sites with trademark names, such as myWordPress*com , facebookproxy*co.uk and wordpress2go*com. What's your take on this ?
if they feel your domain is misleading .harming their brand they will try to sue. if they want to take they will simply take back those names.
Exactly my friend had one wordpress themes site and its became 18k rank in alexa they sent him e-mail asking him to redirecting the domain to wordpress and move his site to new domain lol he loss all his work because a word
I appreciate many of the veteran members appraised the domain and advised to not risk with TM. However, I want to know all of yours take on the examples I've mentioned above - myWordPress*com , facebookproxy*co.uk and wordpress2go*com. I'm not telling that you're wrong, actually I'm planning to sell this domain (if possible), but I want to be more sure before selling. Thanks all of you for your valuable comments.
My take on those successful sites is... well, there not successful at all. The only one doing any good is myWordPress*com and its only just started getting traffic this year. If its trend keeps going up, then WordPress will protect their trademark, you can count on it. If their smart, they will be searching for a new domain and re-branding "before" they are forced to. Cheers James
