Giving business a name.

Naming a business is pretty hard.

we are starting a web design firm and looking for a nice name for that.

can anyone help me out.

if you are from a smaller town\city i would try to incorporate the town\city name into the business name. it can help when it comes to seo etc.

 

Yeah, city names are good... or just browse around the forum for HIGH PR urls. Then decide from there..

 

if you just want a perfect promotion, then I agree with the above opinions. But if you want something special and memorable, I suggest you go for whatever will make you feel honorable and proud of yourself.

You can use google adword tools to get some idea about good domain name through keywords.

 

It depends on what you can get. Domains are not always available if you make up the name beforehand. I'd say follow the suggested ways that people have posted. Be careful though, and be prepared to purchase a hot sounding domain name if it is available! People monitor searches for domain names and squat on them.

 

I also think including your city name is a good idea, not only for seo purposes.
it builds trust. people will think you are the only "official" web design company in town, if you know what I mean
