Hello everyone, I need a logo designed for my site with a budget of $90 (paypal). The site domain is "t r z a l i c a . n e t" (no spaces, one word) which translates into guitar pick (by that I mean an actual pick for playing the guitar). This is a community site focused on learning the guitar, music theory, lessons, forums, music sheets and getting any related info on guitars. Requirements and info: Contest status: RUNNING Logo text: trzalica (means: guitar pick, but its just one word) ".net" should be a part of the logo as a visual hint that its a .net domain Professional Original Modern(web2.0?) Memorable Associative (preferably a pick symbol on the left) No clip art Any style is appreciated Darker background prefered Make sure you read the whole thread before starting your work so you can get all the tips I gave out Designs must be posted in the thread Contest lasts 'till this Sunday evening You can also submit rough concepts, doesnt really matter as long as the quality is present, and we can work on it after its accepted, but in this case, you need to send me a portfolio link. Payment after completition, deliverables in either CDR or AI format. Take your time and good luck.
Here's a concept idea You also asked to see some of our previous works, links below. Newer logo Samples (more recent clients) Older Design Samples (5 categories) Feedback Appreciated
Thank you for your interest. I should note (and its now in the original post) that "trzalica" is one word and not a combination of two. @scorpionagency As for the concept, it has some unique qualities but not quite what Im looking for. Try making something with more depth, placing the symbol differently, changing its shape and font. @gfxpr0 Looks ok, this is one of my prefered styles of design. I was thinking that perhaps the symbol could be to the left of the text, it could be bigger and more memorable, more unique, so people can remeber it and associate it with my site. Also the ".net" doesnt have to be inline with the text, but I guess it depends on the design.
@fujimoto Last design looks better, but its still quite simplistic. @Sake7 Looks quite outdated with embosing. Try some web2.0 gradients, it will look much better. @onlyfights This looks good, but try something more subtle, closer to the design of gfxpr0.
wich one would you prefer, so i won't have to change all of those? you can ask me to change multiple logos if you like. cheers!
okay, I wasn't sure what you were looking for so I added some DEPTH Let me know if you're looking for more elements, I tend to keep my logos simple although I broke several logo rules on this one.
@Sake7 Hm, you could try making something totaly different, but Im not sure which one of those designs I would pick. Sorry @fujimoto Going in a good direction, font looks nice but those "heads" above picks kinda stand out.
@IM3D A step in a good direction, perhaps background is too dark and the guitar stands out, but nice in either way. @jtoms I like the green one better, try making it more subtle and less bold.
Thank you for your feedback, I must say you're the first CH to post such quick feedback! I made some changes according to your preferences, let me know if this is a bit better.
I will provide the feedback as long as Im awake (and thats for another hour or so), and will continue this tomorrow. @fujimoto Try removing the "heads", try a darker color perhaps? @jtoms Like it, try making something in between it and gfxpr0's entry. gfxpr0 (2nd logo) was close to what Im looking for, but the symbol needs to stand out much more (aka. on the left of the text or similar) and give a stronger message. @all: Try manipulating the pick in some way, for example, maybe make the "t" cut into it or make it illustrated... Tend to make it less generic if possible, picks come in many shapes and colors so maybe you could use them to brainstorm and design one that sends a better message.
