Liverpool knocked out from Champions League

Liverpool has struggled alot this season with low performance in the PL, injuries and now they're out of the Champions League.

They really have to focus on getting their game on the Premier League now - if not I think Rafael Benitez will be sacked.

It's kinda wierd to see a top team just suddenly starts to struggle. Liverpool is top club, with quality players and staff - still, they're doing something wrong. Or maybe they're just plain unlucky this season.

    What do you guys think?
Must be sad days for Liverpool supporters now...

Here's a summary of todays match where Liverpool won 0-1 over Debrecen, but since Fiorentina won over Lyon.

Well they are missing Alonso very badly and we knows they are good team but fail to win domestic title since new league started that shows that they are struggling for 2 decades now! Considering two late goals against Lyon is costing them for this elimination from UCL.

Whatever happens i hope they don't sack Rafa Benitez.
They badly need a world class defender to be able to challenge ManU and Chelsea.

Well two-three bad results will surly help to sacked Rafa and I think Liverpool needs a good manager now! Liverpool is too much depends on Torres and Steven G and if both were absent we know results! Someone need who make a team who can challenge leaders!

Rafa Benitez is an outstanding manager imo. He's been there long enough to understand the English game better than most. Bringing in someone new won't change anything. A big club needs a big name for the long haul (look at ManU and Arsenal). Plus i doubt the Kop wants Benitez out.

They need a world class defender, someone similar to ManU's Vidic. And they also better hurry up and sign Milos Krasic before the other big English clubs make their move for this great midfielder.
Liverpool should also get rid of anyone lacking commitment (Babel, Dossena...etc)

Well I don't rate him better then few other managers in league and we know his rotation policy was weakest point few season ago! Also their big problem is converting 3 points against lower half teams where they easily throw points!

    Agree!

With the derby clash win over Everton this weekend I'm sure they'll get their motivation back and start climbing up the table.

to be honest this liverpool side isnt full of any great players except gerrard and torres...you take both of them out and liverpool is a very ordinary team...rafael benitez made some poor decisions in the summer regarding new players...

+ Goalkeeper Pepe Reina, who's in my opinion the best goalie in the premier league these days.

I think Its not about big names or players to win the football matches.its about team work and performance during the match time.Including big players cant guarentte the win.
