You've mixed up a few parts, hundreds of affiliates promote you via clickbank.
The purpose of adswaps is to build up your list quickly for free, that way both businesses grow...you do this only twice a month.

That is what IM is all about..hard work!!

But then you can leverage your hard work!

I did an adswap today and gained 200 new opt-ins. This normally would've taken me a month!

I'm surprised the OP didn't try to sell this as a 5 dollar ebook like everyone else on here that steals free methods from BHW and packages them as "How to Make $48738373838394 in 6 Minutes"

Well done OP, givin something back

Yup. Basically, even the best method you can buy here on DP, is probably listed on BHW for free for all to see.

HelpingNewbies, what's the best way in your opinion to build a list, how often should you send offers to the list and how do you avoid being accused of spamming?

That's almost email spamming because if you keep swapping your lists with the same 10 affiliates every month, everyone will end up having the same emails... So, 10 different affiliates with 2,000 emails each doesn't equal 20,000 different emails. It's more like 10,000 of the same emails on all your lists along with another 10,000 unique emails. Then when you go for product launch, all 10 affiliates will send out the promo email, resulting in thousands of poor folks getting spammed the same message 3 or 4 times by your other affiliate partners. That reduces the value of everyone's list and stops people from wanting to buy your product.

Even if you only swap 2 times a month, it will take you 5 to 6 months to build a decent sized list of a few thousand people - and those people will be the same people who are on your other affiliates' lists.

Wow! I tried this method and just had my first $70,000 month!

Well, not really. I just always wanted to see somebody say that in one of these threads. I think the overall ideas here are pretty good for newbies-- don't dally around finding a niche, concentrate on list-building, outsource, leverage through joint efforts and create your own product.

While the quickie leveraging idea is worth a shot, you can, at the very least, spend a year or so building a substantial list the regular way, then have have something to bargain with. And instead of list swapping, you could swap products, tips, and links among lists. You could still end up very well off even without a wiz-bang overnight success.

Whenever I see a thread like this, I like to take a notepad, jot down the essential details and compare them to other plans I've run across. It's always best to adapt a plan to your own needs.

Obviously you don't ad swap with the same person over and over again, but adswaps are known to rapidly build a list..hell this is what Frank Kern and Ryan Deiss do!

PPC and AdSwaps, make your free offer super relevant to your visitors and have your follow-up maybe once a week with relevant content and recommendations.

I prefer to use less non competitive niches. Why ? because keywords are easy to rank for and ending up in google first spot is awesome. I do several niches and generally outsource my article writing. I spin those articles using MAR and then submit them to the major directories.

    Hey,
def. a well writen piece and i have to say that there were something tips in that report that even i have forgotten to leverage to my advantage sometimes. I really liked the parts about opt-in emailing lists and in particular "swapping" email lists as this is so very often unheard of and overlooked, but as you can see you can achieve very great results from it.
    keep up the good work:)
